Am I the only one who noticed that the new bionicle clip has a Godzilla roar and Wilhelm scream? This movie is going to be awesome.
-
I think there is still hope. I remember seeing that umbra and hating it, but when the final pictures came out, he was awesome. The set in person was great too. So there is still hope for Mata-Nui, but if all else fails, just mod him. That's the beauty of Lego, if a set comes out that has some flaws, just fix them. People seem to forget that and believe that have to keep him the way he is.

Finally, a quality review of Fero and Skirmix, just what I have been waiting for. Mask of Destiny Fero and Skirmix Review Man, those pictures just make me want him more. I'm a sucker for rahi.
-
Does anybody know what to do after you give the contract to Raanu? I deleted his message before reading it, thanks.
-
Wow, you're right, we haven't, only the Europeans who had the 2005 titans in the winter, with Americans stuck with the Hordika. For some reason, I look past all the flaws of Skirmix and really like him. I can't tell if it's because of the lack of Rahi in the past couple of years, but he seems like a welcome inclusion among all the super vehicles loaded with guns (not that I didn't like those).
-
A properly posed Fero and Skirmix would be nice, if only. Is he an exclusive? Fero is listed under "hard to find".
-
Oh good, so I'm not absolutely crazy. On another topic, has anybody gotten Fero and Skirmix? I have only seen one on the internet.

If the new Ignika is on a Glatorian head, you could just put two ball sockets together with a 2 plus rod and attach that to the toa mata foot. You could also use a orange Glatorian to match his eyes. But if its like a regular mask, then you lucked out.
-
We seem to have come to an impasse. We both have previous opinions about the mask that when we look at the pictures, we see different things. I thought I saw a new Ignika, but I may be mistaken. I thought my evidence was good enough to convince others. But if you think its the good ol' Iggy, then when you look at the new pictures, you still see the old one. Oh well, its impossible to change someone else's opinion on something. We'll just have to see who's right when the time comes.

I don't take credit for the photo, I believe Vertea took the top one and I found the other one on toaofprotodermis's brickshelf. I was simply using it for any one who didn't have an Ignika and couldn't see that there were no bars on the inside. I understand its not hard evidence, I'm not holding the new Ignika in my hands, proof might have been too strong a word. But just by looking at the magazine photos, and the new one, its easy to come to the conclusion that its a new mold. I was just doing the hard work to find the evidence so other people didn't have to search it themselves. Also, a new point, if Lego was using the old version of the Ignika for this year, why would the mask be different from last year's on the prototype in the magazine? Wouldn't they just throw on a old mask that was painted?
-
While these pictures prove its a new mold, I have no idea what a black socket connector is doing back there. There's no black socket connector in the new picture, so the magazine might have been an old prototype, considering the Zamor launcher on his shoulder. But, if you look at the magazine, the mask has two rods on the inside roof. The back is also clean cut as opposed to the two swooshes. And sorry Gunnar, I seemed to have misunderstood your post. Edit: Replaced toaofprotodermis's picture with a new one from TAKANUI89's brickshelf that better shows of the inside, plus it's less "grainy".
-
Gunnar, try looking at it again. Tilt it at the exact same angle, and you can see that the back of the mask is different. The old mask tilts up and has the two swooshes, while the new mask does not curve up as much and has a shorter back. Also, look at the mouth, the sides on the new mask look shorter on the new mask. It looks nearly identical, but there are some changes to it.
-
Because it uses a regular Glatorian head, and all Glatorian masks have plus rods on the top. Also, the mouth does not stick out as far, because it does not need to have a plus rod in it. The top of the head is flatter as well, because it is connected to the top of the Glatorian head. Having a plus rod on the top is the only way it would work. If it was on the mouth, then it would have a huge gap between the eyes.
-
Nope, Glatorian head. Look at the left side of the mask, it has the plus rod on the side. Plus, new mold of Iggy, I'm looking at my old mask right now. The back end is different and maybe the front too. The mouth part doesn't jut out as far because it doesn't need a plus rod, because the new mold has a plus rod on the top. Also, there is a straight hordika neck in the picture. Its a Glatorian head and new mold, everything is fine. Mata Nui is not ruined.
-
For everyone who is worrying about how bad the Iggy looks with a Glatorian head, Mata Nui's mask is a new mold, made to fit a regular Glatorian head. Look at the back of the mask, last year's had two swooshes to cover the metru head, but this time around it cut short, because he has a normal Glatorian head. The plus rod is on the top, stop worrying.
