wow...big... you must have exhausted your foundries to make all those cannon! Only Teddy's HMS Victory can save us now! On a different note, I think you definitely could raise the bow a bit, it looks kind of empty and low. you could also cut those hull pieces in half and make add 4 studs. It will look 485% better.

Yep, it'll be redcoat. Unless new bluecoats come out, I may then change my nationality to american, but I can't make custom torso's and I don't want to buy the old ones. If there are bluecoats in the future, then it's "USS George Washington" It doesn't seem short to me, but I could be wrong...

What a nice ship! I'd like to see those hull pieces (but you don't have to take it apart). It's quite a well designed sloop. Could you give us a shot of the crew? It looks like quite the variety. great job with the sails, too. Nice work!

which one's Will? Nice job with the smoke, it is extremely hard to do that kind of stuff with lego. I really like the planking you did.

Actually, commander, if he puts carronades (is that what they're called?) at the bow, then it'll be 4 sides. still, it's almost impossible to defend the fore and aft of a ship: even one cannonball, going full speed through the stern, could and did knock out large portions of batteries; a single shot could kill a hundred men if luck was with it.

On blackmoor's comment: yes, that is what I wanted to do, but removing half the ship is impossible. so I can't unless I really wanted to rebuild the ship from the midline up (and I don't). I agree that it would look better, but I just can't. On Commander's comment: no, they are made out of 2x2x3 pillars, they are just there to show where the masts will go.

Four, which by evil stevie's standard would be a class 8 ship. I Really like LDD, because I don't want to destroy what little navy I have to build a prototype for a ship. oh, and i'm glad you care, even though I'm a lousy redcoat...

As for crew, here's what I suggest: If you are going to keep the floor open (so you can access the cannon, as in brickbeard's bounty) I recommend 8 sailors (7 in the hull+1 on the masts), 3 soldiers, 2 officers, and one captian. If you are going to but a top deck over the cannon, you will have more room, and so I recommend 12 sailors, 8 soldiers, 2 officers, and a captian. have you made any progress?

I'm back, not that you care, but I'll show you my newest creation anyway. I have finally created something on LDD that I WILL buy, probably next Christmas. I will buy the remaining parts on bricklink, mostly hulls and such. Without further ado, I present my latest and greatest creation: The HMS MONARCH: Yes, I will put flaps there. This is not the final stern color, It will be mostly yellow in the final product I think this is my best ship yet. I used a bow rounding technique from someone who's name I have forgotten (I saw it on HMS Unicorn, I think it was Joey Lock, but I could be wrong). I used my own basic tumblehome method, and the cabin was somewhat based off of Brickbeards Bounty.

Nice Job, super! (of course, you cant expect THAT much from bluecoats) You beat me to building a sloped fortress, guess I'll have to build one that's more formidable... That will be pretty hard...

freakin' awesome ship, guys! We shall rule the seas! Tan tiles are REALLY expensive. 2x2 doesn't seem like much money, but it takes so many of them... And there is the fact that you put your admiral on the deck and he falls on his face...
