  1. Thanks. Great suggestions on the clubs area. It is really still under construction, but will eventually have full page info for each club and assigned club representatives that curate those pages.
  2. It's actually been around since issue #1 Thanks for submitting your beginners article. It's always good to have different levels of reading! -J
  3. Yep, it is very close. I've asked Elroy Davis to take over editor duties and we now have a new issue on the horizon. As Mark and Thorsten mentioned, we are aiming for early October. -J
  4. Hi all! I apologize for the panic. I was away on a family camping trip and returned to find my domains expired. Though I received ample notice about expiration, I failed to update some bank account info (since my bank was bought out recently). With that said, we are paid up and back in business. And yes, we are even working on another issue. It really is true. Thanks for everyone's continued support! -Jeramy
  5. Posted on behalf of Steve Barile: I’d like to invite you to the NMRA NTS mail list. We’ve migrated to this new mail list service due to troubles with the original ILTCO list. Jeramy Spurgeon was kind enough to host this email thru the RAILBRICKS web infrastructure. It’s only a few months away from the NMRA NTS in Milwaukee so I’d like to gauge interest in clubs that want to participate in this show. We already have a 80’x60’ space in a prime location on the show floor and have our local club signed up for helping out with local arrangements. Greg and wife will be scouting hotels and eateries, etc… more to come on that. So surf over to http://brickrailroader.com/ and join the mail list and let’s get planning! The rest of the ILTCO story. The ILTCO committee has agreed to migrate all the ILTCO media content, articles, news bits, and images ,etc… from the ILTCO web site to the RAILBRICKS web site and will be shutting down the ILTCO web site and mail lists. Thanks to Jeramy and RAILBRICKS for hosting this great trove of information. SteveB

We've also added a new way to view each release through Issuu.com. Click on the FLASH version to check it out. 11. RAILBRICKS is now accepting instructions submissions for inclusion on the RAILBRICKS website. We hope to eventually provide the largest repository of train related LEGO build instructions available for free on the web. Each submission will be evaluated for clarity and buildability, then judged on its merit. Those submissions that earn the RAILBRICKS seal of approval will be posted on the website. We will also provide a forum for you the user to comment on and discuss each model on several dimensions: difficulty, buildability, rare parts, and overall “wow”. Submission of instructions does not guarantee inclusion on the site. Priority will be given to complete instructions in .pdf and .html format. LDraw files may be accepted at our discretion, but they generally will not be converted to instructions and LDraw files will be given a lower priority on the site. We cannot accept files in any other format. You may also link to your brickshelf or other gallery of instruction images. We will convert these into .pdf files for inclusion on RAILBRICKS. The categories include: Diesel locomotives Electric locomotives Steam locomotives Passenger cars Freight cars Maintenance of Way (MOW) Trackside (Structures, signals, etc.) Components (e.g., a door, window, wheel truck, etc. design) To submit a set of instructions, simply log into your RAILBRICKS account. If you do not have an account, click on the home page and register a new account. Once logged in, browse to the Build Instructions Section of the website and click the submit button. As well as the instructions from recent issues of RAILBRICKS magazine, we’ve recently added some instructions created by Didier Enjary of models from various builders, including Tim Gould, Alban Nanty, Philippe Label, and Pascal Breard. -Jeramy Spurgeon
  12. Thanks everyone for the kind words. We are glad that you are enjoying the recent issue. I had mentioned here previously about an article concerning crossing gate automation. That article had to be cut and will appear in issue #3, which will be out in a much shorter time frame than issue #2. If you have ideas for articles (mainly tips & tricks) please send them our way! -Jeramy
  13. I
  14. Stay tuned for Issue #2 of Railbricks. One of my writers is working on this very article! -Jeramy
  15. Doh! Sorry. Feel free to close this thread down. I'm a bit hazy at the moment. My first child was born on the same day that we launched Railbricks! -Jeramy
  16. Greetings all! I
  17. It is a TYCO Super Blocks Tree. Back when I was younger, my mother would buy lots of the TYCO sets because they were cheaper than LEGO, but I've since weeded all of those pieces out of my collection. -J
  18. This builder's name is Jonathan Lopes and will be featured in the first issue of Railbricks, due to hit the net in late August. His stuff is simply fantastic! http://www.railbricks.com And he is displaying with TCLTC this July in Detroit Michigan, part of the HUGE multiclub ILTCO layout for the National Train Show! http://news.lugnet.com/events/?n=2136 http://www.nationaltrainshow.com -Jeramy [Railbricks founder]

    Sleepers...

Here is how I'm doing it, based on John and Ross Neal's design. I really like the tile look for the sleepers and studded look for the rock/ballast, which creates a nice contrast between the two. The rest of my gallery: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=250211 -Jeramy
  20. And we get more! More Pics: -Jeramy Edit: Sorry, didn't see the other thread.
  21. Well, it's a week after the unveiling. Any idea when and where to keep an eye out for the debut of these sets? (According to the original post, we would see something this week). -J
  22. I doubt that we will see pics from the American International Fall Toy Show (the one going on right now). Here is a link to all of the exhibitors and LEGO is not listed :( http://www.toy-tia.org/Content/NavigationM..._Exhibitors.htm -J
  23. Well, it is confirmed for all of you non-believers..... http://www.bricksonthebrain.com/blog/ -J
  24. WooHoo!!! Thanks for these pics. I'm probably more excited about the dark red 1x4 arch than anything else. I have a large project that I'm doing in dark red, but there has only been the 1x6 arch made in that color....until now! Now to figure out how to score about a hundred of them :/ -Jeramy
  25. Got word today from a very reliable source that Vikings will be available in the U.S. in Oct/Nov. I'm not sure when S@H will begin carrying them, but the only retail store in the U.S. that will carry them is Toys R' Us. -Jeramy
