If you mean the topic where I got the scan from: http://www.bzpower.com/forum/index.php?sho...p;#entry6060120
-
Nope. I just replaced them with some spare black 2 pins and kept the blue 3 pins as spare parts for later. It can always come in handy. ANd the Vorox set looks much better this way, too.

Hmm... Can't say I really like the changed Ignika-shape in this scan: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Jaller14...nicle_4_pic.png But I guess I can grow to at least accept it... I just liked the original version from the teaser better. =/ And I'm not sure if the + holes are still there... Still, aside from the Ignika, I like movie-Mata Nui. His armour looks metallic, at least, unlike that of the previous three movies... EDIT: Forgot to say and just in case, the scan isn't mine, it's from a BZPower member, but I just took the liberty to post a link here.

You know, thinking about the alternate dimensions made me realize that those big robot pieces on Bara Magna are simply the remains of an alternate Mata Nui who crash-landed on Bara Magna and died there.

Meh, I did not like RoS since the beginning and I don't like it now. It's a useless serial with no plot that only serves to show us pointless attempts at overthrowing Teridax that will never work because I doubt the storyteam would let such an important event happen in a serial and not in the main story. So, to keep things 'interesting', Greg has to resort to horrid plottwists, such as Tuyet, dimension hopping and the like. God I hate Tuyet. I would have prefered it if she really was dead and was now in some painful undead state or somethin and that she would have to do a good deed before finally be able to rest. But noooo, Greg just had to change the whole ending of The Many Deaths of Toa Tuyet, and mess with Into The Darkness' side plot as well. Jeez. I don't really blame Greg for this, since he has a serial to write in which nothing can happen so he has to do something with it, but still... I do like White Teridax, though, as a character, even though he's a dimension hopper as well. But you can count on it he'll die in a lame way and won't even have had any use to the story, just like Miserix, who believes he's a freaking painting. Let's root for the killing of Tuyet, though. All in all, worthless serial for an uninteresting universe. Thank the great beings we have Empire of the Skrall and Riddle of the Great Beings, which at least shed some light on more interesting and important-to-the-real-story matters.

There's a new chapter of Empire of the Skrall up for reading. It's a good chapter, I must say, and finally we have a name for the shapeshifters: Baterra. Also, we see the first storyline appearance of a named Skrall. All in all, a nice update.
-
Riddle of the Great Beings chapter 3 is up. It's with some interesting parts about the shattering. Turns out the wolves are made by the Great Beings and something called the Elemental Lords walk Bara Magna once more. And of course, it ends with a cliffhanger. =/

Is Malum really an enemy to the good guys? He's an exile, an outcast, yes, but he did warn Gresh in The Fall of Atero, no? And he's an enemy of the Skrall. How does the saying go again: the enemy of my enemy is my friend? Can count for Malum. I think he simply handles now in the interest of his pack, as a good pack leader, and his own interest because it is tied to that of the Vorox. And I find it likely that Malum wouldn't say no to an alliance between him, the Vorox and the good guys if it were to bring down the Skrall. Well, we'll see, but anyway, EotS showed me why Malum is Greg's favourite character of 2009.

A new chapter of Empire of the Skrall is up. It's a good chapter, in my opinion, but the former one was better. Still, it adds to Malum's character. I must say I quite like the ex-Glatorian. He's the only one so far who doesn't treat the Vorox like dirt and for that he gets my respect, because I love the Vorox. When BZPower is back up, I really should ask Greg if there are Zesk who listen to Malum as well...

You know, seeing the revived BQOTT movies just reminded me how well a toy-look can work for a Bionicle movie. Gives good hope for Bionicle - The Legend Reborn.

Man, fantastic comic. It's kinda sad that this battle for Atero was more exciting than any battle in the comics last year, which were supposed to be fantastic because of the whole 'Final Battle' stuff...
-
Well, at least it still resembles the Ignika we know...

Bit off-topic, but I just got Vorox. And I quite like him. I knew I would, but I like him even better than expected. I can see what people mean by a surprisingly small helmet, but it doesn't look too small or anything. The Thornax launcher is also pleasing, a bit bigger than I expected, but by far not as ugly or distracting as the blasters from the past. Just a question: I modified my Vorox slightly so that the life-counter-holder on his ankle fits on his chest and I removed the life-counter. Anybody else who does that? I don't mind them on the back, but on the ankle, like with Skrall and Vorox, I find them very distracting. Besides, Vorox's chest looks less flat and better armoured this way. So far, my 2009 collection is not going bad... 6/6 Agori, 1/6 Glatorian... I just hope they're all as good as Vorox turned out to be. Who should I get next? I can't really decide, I quite like all of them... Hmm... Skrall, Gresh or Malum, which of the three...

The new Reign of Shadows is up. It's better than the first one, IMHO, but still so little actually happened, just more plan-making of the Nuva we know will fail because the Toa won't be able to stop Teridax. In all honesty I kinda find myself wishing there was no MU serial and we instead focussed entirely on Bara Magna, which I find myself liking much more than the MU. Well, for now at least. Once we find out the entire galaxy is actually inside a giant super-space-starfighter-robot made by the Ultimate-Above-All-Great-Being, I'm giving up on Bionicle.

I don't truly see the problem, if I might be honest. Such form of society is quite common even in our world: like with ants, termites, bees and the like. A soldier ant will never be a worker, or a Queen a soldier, see? Even in Bionicle, we had an example of a society like that before: the Bohrok. One can easily draw parallels between the Bohrok and the Skrall. Rock Agori = Bohrok Va Normal Skrall = Bohrok Stronius = Bohrok Kal Tuma and his class = Bahrag Sure, it might not be fair to the lower Skrall, but since when did that matter in any society like that? Ants don't care, Bohrok don't care and I doubt the Skrall do. They're soldiers, it's what they're used to.

Nice, allow me to give you another example of such prejudice: I barely need to glance at your username and I already know your post will be another overly negative, pessimistic attack on LEGO's doing with Bionicle. You could write 10 000 very intelligent posts, the best ever made, that are well worth reading, that everybody SHOULD read, I'd still wouldn't read them because all your posts so far I've read sucked balls and were pretty rude to downright insulting. Would you like your work to be ignored like that because of what you did before? Wait, don't answer that. Of course you would. After all, I'm only one person. But multiply me by a million, would you still like it? Yeah, you probably still would... Oh, and let's also conveniently forget that there's a different team behind the movie this time, as well as the script and plot. It has to suck. IT HAS TO SUCK BECAUSE 30 SECONDS OF TEASER SUCKED DAMN IT! ^^ Yay. I shouldn't let myself get carried away like that. But sheez, talk about pessimistic. And people say I'm constantly seeing the end of the world in every misfortune.
-
Lol. Would you like it if your work was judged on a small glance people got at it? You saw 3 seconds of footage, maybe not even final material and you already write it off. Pretty pathetic. But fine, if you like doing that, be my guest. It is your loss, not mine. It's okay to be dissapointed, it's not okay to already doom the entire movie because of that. I'd say wait for a real trailer, with voices and the stuff, for that. EDIT: for the record, I'm not sure myself what to think of the movie so far, but I wait for a trailer, a real trailer, before I make a real judgement on it.

Light blue, actually. Like Kopaka Mata/Nuva.
-
Oh come on, it's not that bad. Nowhere near Mistika-bad, at the very least. Unless you mean on the vehicles. The canisters cary no silver aside from some weapons.
-
Say, could Mata Nui be yellow to spare costs? I imagine a set full of gold colouring must be quite expensive... EDIT: I feel people's pain about the resized Ignika on Mata Nui. But, at the very least, it looks like the Ignika. And that's a plus.
-
THAT IS SO ****ING WIN! ^^ But you're right, why not the set in gold?! Still... Those teasers of the movie... WIN!!!
-
Mata Nui: Hey, it could be worse. At least yellow is close to gold. He looks cool and those ankle guards are by far not as bad as I feared they would be. I do wonder, though, what IS that weapon of his? Anyway, he has a 2008-style Ignika and that means instant win. 10/10! Vastus: That Scythe is cool. Very cool. His mask is a bit weird, but all in all, he's really okay. 8.5/10 Stronius: These Toy Fair pictures made me like him. Love the helmet and the spiked armour. 8.5/10 Ackar: Pure win. There's something about him, perhaps his simplicity in design, that makes me like him. Kinda sad that his helmet is just a recolour of Berix' one, though. 8.5/10 Kiina: S/he is okay, but I'm no fan of the helmet. 8/10 Gelu: I'm not sure about this one. His legs look too short compared to his arms, and somehow the Inika chest plate seems too big for him... I guess I like him, but he won't be a priority buy for me. 8/10 On the vehicles, sorry for the fans of those, but the pictures we got here made me like them even less than before. Why couldn't we have had some beasts...? Something Kardas-like would be great for me, as I never had the chance to get Kardas... All in all, Summer 2009, besides the vehicles, looks as good as winter 2009 did. The Mata Nui set is win, the other canisters are up the level of the Glatorian and Mata Nui is win. A lack of titans, alas, but it doesn't take away from the greatness of the other sets. I'm also very glad that the launchers remained the same and that we're not having another silver overkill with ridiculously oversized blasters that look stupid anyway. All we need now is a glimpse at the movie and we're set. PS: Mata Nui is win, for he has a 2008-style Ignika. ^^"

No worse than 'The Final Battle' was for Bionicle Legends 11. Don't get me wrong, I loved the book, but the title really is generic. The title of the comic that covered that story 'The Rising' was ten times as cool.
-
Now how could I forget those.
-
I like the sound of the movie, I really do. The new info has given me hope for a Tuma vs Mata Nui swordfight-something as the movie's climax or something. The first three movies really lacked something like that. Mask of Light was okay, I guess, becuase the Toa were still Toa and used their powers, but LoMN... Blegh. And Web of Shadow's final battle in the coloseum just felt so... cheesy. If the movie is, on the action part of it, anywhere near 'The Final Battle', we're in for a treat. And if the emotion-stuff and character part of it is anywhere near Empire of the Skrall part 2, we're also in for a good movie. My guess is that the movie will be good, maybe not great, but good at least. Hopefully better than the last two...
