"You Are Trespassing In The Undead States Of America"
Sir Dillon replied to Sir Dano's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
What exactly makes this cattlepunk? It looks the same as a ghost town situation. Neat vignette though. It's nice to see you got a new camera. -
I don't believe any TRUs will have it. I think it's only available through Lego stores and S@H.

Snow Box Derby Rules & Discussion
Sir Dillon replied to WesternOutlaw's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Congratulations on your win, Mr. Mandalorian! Well done to Sir Nadroj and Erdbeer as well, and thanks to all who voted for me. Thanks for running all this Brickster, it was very enjoyable. -
Thanks for the reply, Posades. I'm glad you like it. There is an interior, but I was running out of time and wasn't able to put as much detail into it as I would have liked. You can see it in this picture:

Hello! Here is my latest creation: the hideout and headquarters of a band of outlaws and mercenaries. Brickshelf gallery: [Link] This was built for the CCCVI Secret Hideout category. I now kind of wish I had made something a little more 'secret' looking, but hopefully this fits the category well enough. It was inspired by 6075 Wolfpack Tower. Please let me know what you think!

Very nice work Dragonator, especially considering how quickly you built it. The fortress looks very well built and intimidating, and the ram is neat. The scene itself though, is kind of boring. I think the main reason is the lack of figures. They should be crowding the ramparts, shooting and throwing projectiles at the enemy. If you are going to be putting them outside the castle walls, there should be a well sized strike force, not just a handful of soldiers. The same goes for the attackers, I think. You could also have a few strewn about on the ground, struck by the defenders' arrows. I'm guessing that this is all you have of these two factions, but I think mixed factions would look better than it does right now.

An estimable solution Mister Phes.

History & Adventure MOC index discussion thread
Sir Dillon replied to Hinckley's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Hey ISC, could you please fix the links and images in the first post of your Behind the Veil topic? Otherwise it looks like I'm linking to a blank topic. -
Very nice job with this, especially in capturing the shape of the ship. The tan stripe is a neat addition, and adds a lot to the general look, I think. You've also done a good job with the rigging, and makes the lack of sails less noticeable. The only thing that looks off to me is the mast protruding from the front of the ship (sorry, I don't know the correct name offhand) seems too long to me. I believe it would look much more proportionate if you were to shorten it a bit. Is there a particular reason why you wanted this in the History and Adventure section instead of Pirates? While this isn't necessarily a pirate creation, I think it would fit better in that section.

Mystery Manor - Chapter Two

I have the feeling there's lots he isn't telling us. Maybe when he gets back we should jump him, and then force him to talk. -

Hah, nice one Kim. I have a feeling you're going to impale your own 'horse power', though. -

Hah, thanks. Yours is neat too. It's a shame that it will soon be annihilated. Maybe, but not by your puny piece of scrap metal. That thing will fall apart before it even reaches mine. -
Make way for Spike the Snow Box! Prepare to lose! Or at the very least be seriously irritated.

John, could you try your key in the top drawer of the cabinet that the chef was looking through? -

I would like to examine the staircase more closely. It looks like there's some type of compartment beneath them. -

Hello GloriusShadow. I've changed your images to links. If you would like to embed images into your posts, please resize them to at least 800 x 600 first. Here's a tutorial on how to do so: [link]

A seriously impressive mosaic! You've done a good job conveying the depth perception, and the use of negative space works very nicely here. I do have to agree that it does not look much like a medieval tapestry though. At this point however, you might be better off creating a new one, because I think trying to add more to this would look, as you said, tacked on.

Neat! The various levels are a nice way to add more to the creation. I think it would have been funny if you had made a duel on each level.

Choose your favourite Castle Barding!
Sir Dillon replied to WhiteFang's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Neat topic! I voted for number 2, but I also like the Fright Knight one, because it can be used for any theme. Actually, KKI was the Bulls vs. Lions theme, which came a couple years before the rainbow knights of KKII. Barding number 6 is from the KKI theme. -

I would like to try to move all the suits of armor to see if there's anything underneath them. -

Hmm... this is a very interesting firearm. I wonder why it was hidden behind that portrait. I'll check if it's loaded, and perhaps I'll be able to tell if it has been fired since the last time it was cleaned. After that, I think I'll search the underside and top of the table for clues.
