I spent around 1 months to make it with around 10000 parts. The oldest Central Police Station (Hong Kong)structure within the compound is a barrack block built in 1864. It is a three-storey building constructed adjacent to Victoria Prison. A storey was later added to the block in 1905. In 1919, Headquarters Block facing Hollywood Road was constructed. Subsequently in 1925, the two-storey Stable Block was constructed at the north-west end of the parade ground and later used as an armoury.

As this MOC has totally four floors, 48x48 is much better. For 32x32, i should give up some detailed structure!
-
Thanks! Actually, this MOC is started from 32x32. However, its real size is very big, it is increased into 48x48. In fact , my MOC is only around 1/3 of the real building!
-
Thanks for lightningtiger , you added more detailed information about its original design!
-
Thanks! For the total amount of parts, i never calculated. I think it is around 3000-4000 pieces. It used up nearly all of my reddish brown and tan bricks at my home. Besides, i also ordered a lot of plate and tiles! I like post office and train station so much, i also want lego co. can release more and more detailed post office line and train line. It is much better tahn boring police, fire station , hospital and construction line. They have been released X times since 198X
-
Thanks! I planned this MOC in 2011 but i did not have enough parts. Finally, i ordered more parts in 2012, i spent around half year to complete it!

http://en.wikipedia....fice,_Hong_Kong It is the Hong Kong General Post Office, it was built in 1911. However, it had been pushed down in 1976 to set up the subway in Hong Kong, Central I like its style, so i made this MOC(48x48). I used the tan and reddish brown color, it is only part of the orignal post office. It has four floors. G/F is the service counter and loading bay for vehicles. The 1/F is cashier, the 2/F is letter collection centre. The 3/F is the headquarter. MOC: Kowloon Station (Tsim Sha Tsui Station - 1970)

Sorry! Late to re-size the pictures! -
Kowloon Station /Tsim Sha Tsui Station(九龍車站), located in Tsim Sha Tsui on the present site of the Hong Kong Cultural Centre, was the former southern terminus of the Kowloon-Canton Railway (KCR). I used the yellow with white color to replace the original tan color, it is also the color of set 4554! The first Kowloon station was a temporary structure built near the Post Office on Salisbury Road in 1909 and served until the permanent station was completed in 1910. Regular service began at the second station on 1 October 1910.[1] The building consisted of a two storey L shaped terminal building with a clock tower. On the north end of the station was a covered walkway which lead to a two covered elevated platforms. A mile north of the station is a freight station. After its relocation to Hung Hom (also replacing the old Hung Hum station) in 1974, and until the late 1990s, "Kowloon" had been the name of present-day Hung Hom Station, the new southern terminus of the KCR, the railway which was renamed East Rail Line in the late 1990s. more photos: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=502332

KTT (Chinese: 九廣通)[1]) is a train set used by the MTR Corporation Limited in Hong Kong on the cross-boundary service to Guangdong route. The KTT is not the only service from Hong Kong to China, Guangdong service is also provided by the mainland Chinese railway operators.[2] The double-deck "KTT" trailers have lower bottom floor than the ordinary cars serving on the same pair of tracks. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/KTT_(railway) KTT is used on the Guangdong Line (Hung Hom (Kowloon), Hong Kong - Dongguan - Guangzhou East) of the through train service. http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Superb/Ktt/pic_view.jpg Between January to May 1998 the KTT cars provided service between Hung Hom and Lo Wu stations. After the whole route was electrified, the KTT serves non-stop between Hung Hom Station and Guangzhou East railway station. Although the train model has a top speed of 230 km/h (143 mph), KTT only runs at a maximum speed of 160 km/h (99 mph). Under normal demand, KTT has seven compartments (five first-class compartments and two executive-class compartments). However, during peak season, the train sets are expanded to eight compartments. To make this railway, i gave up the Dark Turquoise or Maersk Blue color as the cost is very higher. Thye are also lacking in stock in hong kong. I used the middle blue to replace it but the effect is nice too. It is not ease to collect the trans-blue window panel parts, i ordered them from Germany and USA. Its work is look like the real railway to buy the parts from foreign countries. Inside the compartments, they include the guest car, restaurant, toilet and storage room. http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Superb/Ktt/ktt1.jpg http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Superb/Ktt/ktt4.jpg http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Superb/Ktt/ktt2.jpg http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Superb/Ktt/ktt7.jpg http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Superb/Ktt/ktt3.jpg

As i don't like the design of 2011 habour set, i like to make my MOC habour set. My home has a lot of middle blue brick, i like to use them to make the fishing boat repairing centre. Two boats can be parked for repairing. Please enjoy my design! more photos: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=478798
