My wife just got me the Toy Story Soldiers and Jeep for our 3 month anniversary. I have been out of service since August, I got run over by an SUV while riding my Scooter home and then getting married has put a damper on my LEGO collecting

I just checked Brickforge, the scooters are now for sale. I couldn't resist, I had to place an order for 1 of each color.

New BrickForge Products!
Marcus Aurelius Antoninus replied to Hound Knight's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
Finally we get the scooters, I just can't wait, I will pick up the whole set or 2. I need the red one to match my Genuine Scooter Buddy 150 Pamplona scooter, and the design matches my soon to be fully restored 1957 Allstate Cruisaire . I may pick up a few barrets for a little European flare for my city. -
I wasn't going to get this set, but I really do need the phone, and my city could always use a few more citizens. I have 2 that are leaving me due to being the bride and groom for a friends wedding.

The Brick Testament - Armageddon
Marcus Aurelius Antoninus replied to Brendan Powell Smith's topic in Brick Flicks & Comics
Your interperation varies quite a bit from my interpertation of the book revelations. That is the reason for so may different religions. Still not bad, as always enjoyed the scenes, however I would definitly change the cursing from using the F-bomb, I wouldn't let young children read or use this as a fun reference to the bible. But as I said not bad for more mature audiences. -
Great set if all you are after the surf board but I really love the girls hair. So much better than the ponytailed or girls miniwig. I agree a few changes to the accessories like change the bike match the green trim of the camper, and added trailer hitch. Maybe I will modify mine to add one.

I just got home with the new 7639 camper and 7638 Tow Truck. I was surprised to see TRU with them so soon.

Trains for me, they are what got me out of the "Dark Ages" but since LEGO does not introduce trains to often I suppliment my Train layout with Town, (I really like the farm theme), sprinkled with Indiana Jones and Modular buildings (Green Grocer, Corner Cafe and Market Street).

My most recent vehicles are a 2006 Nissan Xterra 4x4 265hp, 284lb of torque great car to go off roading and plowing thru the snow. My summer vehicle is a Genuine Scooter 2008 Buddy 150 Pamplona. Absolutely the most fun vehicles I have ever owned.

Marcus Aurelius Antoninus replied to der seb's topic in LEGO Train Tech
I hope it is real it is so large and fantastic, if so it blows my budget. I love the looks of the large wheels, great colors mostly I am thrilled that it is a classic steam engine. It will be a "MUST BUY" for all of us train fans. I cant wait to see what rolling stock, buildings etc TLG has in store in their train line.- 559 replies

REVIEW: 7746 Single-drum roller
Marcus Aurelius Antoninus replied to pyro-hippo's topic in LEGO Town
I have looked at this one a few times at TRU, it looks nice and is a change from the past city construction sets, I just can't justify the cost right now. Maybe when it comes on sale. Any way thanks for the review. nice job. -
I went into my local TRU on the way home from work to pick up the combine I saw there a few days earlier. They were sold out so I picked this set up. I was so thrilled and excited I had to build it right away, so I sat in my car in the parking lot and built it. I just love the set. Thanks for the review.

Fruit Growers Express Ice Refer #57708
Marcus Aurelius Antoninus replied to Cale's topic in LEGO Town
What a beautiful piece of rolling stock. Kudos to you. -
I was really debating getting this one. I think you pushed me over the edge, it is on my "2009 must get list" along with the farm sets.

Ebay states in their user agreement "use our sites or services if you are not able to form legally binding contracts, are under the age of 18, or are temporarily or indefinitely suspended from our sites;" Which I think can be interpreted as anyone buying or selling must be of age and not 12 or under. The Senate and House of Representives want to say that they are protecting children and they can go back to their respective states and say I helped protect the kids re-elect me. We really do not need so many new laws each congressional session, but enforce the ones we already have.

Hinkley, I am impressed, very well done. I wouldn't mind having something simular in my town.

Marcus Aurelius Antoninus replied to Marcus Aurelius Antoninus's topic in General LEGO Discussion

I just got the new HOLIDAY 2008 Catalogue in the mail. Once again we have Free Shipping until December 1st on orders of $99.00 USD or more.

We Train Fans are patiently waiting for the Power Function Trains to come out. Then convert them to the 9V format. That means hording and maintaining our 9v motors and track if possible. Who knows, the PF trains may be strong enough and batteries last long enough for some good play time before the have to go into the engine shed for Maintainence (battery change).
-
I picked one up when it first came out, I got it for the rolling stock, I really don't care much for the electric trains (ergo I only have this and the hobby train), I prefer the steam engines era, ( I have the Sante Fe, BNSF, Hogwarts motorized, 2 My Own Trains (large black with tender and small grey tank), Holiday train, and the 9v Cargo train. All this with about 150 feet of track, and over 25 feet of other rolling stock. I believe it's still a good train for the money. I still would convert it to the 9v format if my 4yr old nephew didn't like the idea of remote control.

I picked up a Coast Guard Helicopter 7738 from TRU with 20% off today, can't wait to build it.
