  1. My guess is that you are in sweden, I noticed the discount on this set at TRU too. The actual price after the discount btw is 699 SEK which at the time of writing equals 81 EUR. It is a good price even though the original price is high (1199SEK=139EUR) even so compared to the cheapest I've seen this set in sweden (Webhallen 979SEK=114EUR) it is a good price. I almost considered buying a couple of these and save unopened a year or two and then sell for probably quite a profit.
  2. Hello! My name is Rickard, and I used to love Technic Lego when I was a kid, I had 4 sets and played a lot with them, since I could not afford motor parts and such I used to slaughter old tape recorders and take the motors from them and use in my gearboxes and such. I have actually not bought any Lego for like 20 years, and late last year I realized that Technic Lego had been reinvented (studless). So I just had to buy a few small sets and try the new way of building. And now I am back loving Lego. I will see where this takes me. /Rickard
  3. Hello! I have been lurking about these forums for a while and decided to show my first MOC since coming back from my dark ages (about 20 of them). I got really interested in Technic Lego again when I realized that it had been reinvented (studless) and I quickly bought a couple of small sets just to get some pieces and try myself. After also having bought the excavator 8069 and the super car 8070 I came up with the idea to create a gearbox with 1 input driven by the Medium motor from the 8070 set and four outputs that can spin in both directions and then use this gearbox to control an excavator. Now one month after getting the idea I have prototyped it but only with three outputs so far. Next step is to see if I can engineer the whole thing in a better way, and also adding a fourth output controlling rotation via a turntable. Once I am a bit more proud of the actual solution I will post more images. /Rickard
