That's not funny man! :(

Romans would work a lot better--I want any Emperor mini-fig. or maybe, a Senator mini-fig. A whole room of senators assassinating Caesar! :D

And in the alternate universe that splits if Ogel wins against the knights places him as the first emperor of the Britannian Empire; and a few thousand years later, Lelouch inherits a Geass like Ogel, except on the other eye:

In the movie Maid in Manhattan, the girl's son plays with Kopaka and a Bohrok--there's this extended 10 second period just him playing with it! its pretty neat.

Not really--I think because bionicle 2008 was so interconnected with bionicle 2001~2008, its fair to say that it didn't fail as an ending. As a set-year, I think the Nuva designs were dissapointing. I was expecting a redesign of the loved 2002 Nuva.

Is there any particular reason why Lego's 'horse' mold has been the same throughout the last two decades? I mean--its a good design, but it would be better if they redesigned it like they redesigned the dragons. Perhaps the horses would work really well if they allowed it more articulation than just its head.

Siege machines are awesome if you can get your hands on a large amount of them...and a large amount of castles too. I wish i had more siege machines.

I'm confused--sorry haha where do we sign up for this?

great find! i don't think that was unintentional--it might have been a real deep hidden hint for it.

Sign me in thanks!

Is Technic usage in System sets good or bad?
Phaz-Ing replied to Zarkan's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I think the technic usage in system sets is the ideal that LEGO should strive for. Technic is for 'experts' but, to be honest, it loses that 'artwork' charm of the system sets. The Hybrid is what makes the best sets work really well. Consider the V19 Torrent starfighter--i have to argue that (although I haven't built/opened it yet) it appears to be the best lego ever built (that i have bought). Its a beauty of both engineering and artwork. DROOL So yes, technic usage in system sets is very good. -
I disagree with some of the advanced techniques (sorry) -- I'm specifically talking about the ToPLES technique (where you put a plate between two studs). Even though it was official, i'm still very hesitant to use that kind of technique. I tried implementing it in LDD, and it didn't allow it. Ah well, maybe its just my taste. Otherwise this list is super-great!

I think the middle wing is too long. but is a nice little ship any way. I found Chris Deck's to be more accurate though...

Phaz-Ing Here, enter me into the raffle! Thank you so much!

Sorry if this has been mentioned before but: Am i the only one who thinks the fingers are a step back? I really detest them, they remove the 'feel' of the original Bionicle--they look so Knights Kingdom 2 instead of technic... Anyway, I'll probably end up buying one

But...why do they always mention the aliens as being 'captured'? Well, this will all become clear when LEGO releases its "Alien Interrogation/Dissection Room" :p
-
Well, not necessarily a free-for-all, but maybe a fragile alliance between the humans and aliens versus some super aliens (who also want the crysta...hey wait! nvm this might turn into command and conquer 3) Yeah its pretty good to keep to the 2-faction fight. But perhaps at least some 'elite' human troopers or something. Like send in the REAL human army.
-
I mean, aren't the humans in turn becoming more like the aliens, using the crystals to power their own weapons so that the aliens that /do/ use the crystals to power their own weapons wont? I hope they bring in more alien races- so it turns more interesting, rather than a simple 2-faction fight.
-
Hey you never know, the aliens might be similar colored to the crystals because they need it to survive. Probably because the humans harvested the crystals so fiercely, they needed to eat that human to retrieve the residual crystal radiation in order to survive. Mars Mission (Epilogue): Human 1: Ok, mission complete: Mars is harvested. Alien 1 (in garbled alien language): NO WAIT YOU MUSN'T! the crystals are highly radioactive and can only harm your species! do not bring it to earth! Human 2 (firing blaster at alien face): Shut it, alien. -2000 years later- Human population annihilated.
-
Ah ok that really clears things up. Still, I don't see the difference between the humans wanting the crystals, and the aliens wanting them. In a previous review by someone- they showed the aliens being sucked dry for energy in a human vehicle! Surely in real life humans would at least attempt to discuss things over with the aliens before deciding to capture them and wipe Mars dry of resources. Who knows? Maybe the aliens need the crystals for survival.
-
"The humans are mining for crystal energy and shipping it back to earth in their space shuttle, but the Aliens want it for themselves! " So...in Mars Mission, I just want to clarify: are /both/ the humans and 'aliens' NOT native to Mars? I know its been said before, but just to confirm, the humans /are/ the ones at fault right? They're taking the crystals that rightfully belong to the aliens (if they are indeed from Mars). I can't but feel very uncomfortable at how the lego website is like a huge human propaganda site promoting the humans' mission on Mars. So...The humans are stealing the crystals (for themselves) and yet its wrong for the aliens wanting their own crystals? Like someone mentioned before, whatever happened to Lego Space being about exploration and cooperation with alien races? Anyway, I have to admit though, there is a lot more potential for 'cool' sets in war.

This is beautiful! I wish Lego would remake more of the old sets like you have done here- it would be great homage.
