  1. Lol I was admitting the mins of screen time metric was a little silly. It was trying to make a point about supporting characters but clearly the point wasn't as obvious as I was hoping. The exact minutes were being focused on instead of the overarching point of primary vs support characters 😜. So you want a "modern version" of a specific character in a specific outfit when we have gotten multiple slightly different versions and you are nit picking that you haven't gotten exactly what you wanted. You do realize that comes off as slightly unreasonable right? 😆. It's this kind of thing that is why eurobricks has the reputation it does 🤷
  2. Haha it's fine if you didn't like the screentime metric. It was just to make a point about Lando being a support character. Don't overthink it. Understand the point that we have gotten a bunch of Lando figs and he doesn't have that much screentime. Of course there are other characters with a higher ratio of figs to screentime 😆. Since you asked, personally, I would say people are new to Lego as a hobby if they have only been an adult collector for less than 10 years or so. If you are a child you are just playing with toys and it's not actually a hobby at that point 🤷. But to each their own. I'm aware of the Lando figures we have gotten. The frequency is what was being discussed (not cost). You don't have to give the whole brickipedia break down 😆. We just got a Lando fig in 2024 and there was a bespin Lando on the shelves in 2020. That's why the complaints seemed unreasonable.
  3. That's definitely fine. It's all the same character. Why wouldn't you want variety? The complaints would be more valid if a Lando figure had never been produced or it had been awhile. Different versions of a character is a positive thing.
  4. I'm curious where you got 8 mins from? It's not much more than that but that's not right...Vader is also also a main character (as is Luke making that comparison silly and irrelevant). Lando has been readily available. Unless you are new to the hobby you likely have a Lando.. .or multiple. The last one was in 2024. You are nit picking about a certain outfit? Even that outfit that you are nit picking about was last released in 2019...you could still find it on shelves in 2020. That is very recent. These complaints are unfounded. But you also don't like the anniversary figure with the outfit you are asking for. This comes off as whining and isn't based on any actual lack of the character in Lego form. (We won't get into the history of Lando as a general toy even though that may relate 😉).
  5. This is such an odd take. Lando is a supporting character with limited screentime and he has had 10 minifigs? That seems like a lot. I looked it up...he has 17 mins of total screentime between empire and Jedi. (11 mins in empire and 6 in Jedi) I know the discussion was about the OT. Disregarding the 1 fig based on solo so that's 1 fig for every 1.8 mins of screen time 😆. There have been plenty of Lando figs available over the years 🤷
  6. Ditto, it's going to be a cheap year for me unless the DS ends up being amazing. It's odd too because I'd really like a Jangos Slave 1 and this is the year for it but I'm not interested in either of those. If it was similar to the 20th anniversary Bobas I'd be excited for it. I don't want a large UCS version and I don't want a janky, scaled down version. My preference of good size/ quality system scale sets has been phased out at this point. It's not a thing anymore.
  7. I'm curious, what one scene was skipped?
  8. Again, I commented the backlash towards TLJ was plenty bad. But to think it was even close...is to show ignorance. I'm just guessing most of the people responding weren't adults in the fandom when the prequels released. It was night and day different. The sequels backlash was mild in comparison. You don't understand.
  9. This shows how unaware you are of what the prequel backlash was like. Sure the backlash was bad towards TLJ but not anywhere close to the prequels. Not even in the same ballpark. George got literal death threats. It was main stream media how much people were upset. On the news, not just within the fandom. Outrage over multiple forms of racism. "George Lucas ruined my childhood" was a common saying. Clearly you weren't an adult in the fandom when the prequels released. It was not clunky ideas and slow pacing lol. You have no idea.
  10. This is crazily formatted and full of disconnected thoughts so I'll just delete it all but .. My question is, were you an adult in the fandom when the prequels released? Do you understand that the backlash and hate/dislike the sequels have received is nothing in comparison? It's night and day how much worse people disliked the prequels. It's not close. The prequel hate was many, many, many times worse. It's cyclical. People will come around on the sequels as well. It's not even a question.
  11. Give it 10-15 years. The sequels will start to get more love the same way the prequels did. That being said, I'd buy an Exegol/emperor's throne set 🤷
  12. That seems to be the general consensus.
  13. This is very short sighted to only give credit to one person. Especially with the George example, you should be crediting writers and directors and artists etc. You are under valuing the contributions of others.
  14. So how much will the new DS cost now? 1100$?
  15. What ever happened to more of the accessory packs like the clone/hoth trooper accessory packs we got a few years back? They were basically smaller battle packs. That might be better than a 40$ battle pack?
  16. Is this going to be like the buildable gonk droid thing from a couple years ago? Good luck 😉
  17. With the recent trend of system scale sets being smaller/less detailed, will we ever get system scale sets that are improvements over some of the good sets we've gotten previously? Or is that time in the past? Let's use the Slave 1 as an example: The 20th anniversary, system scale Bobas Slave 1 was fantastic imo. It retailed at 120$ US. In 2025 we are getting a 70$ system scale Jango Slave 1. (And a 300$ UCS Jango version). Is the 20th anniversary Slave 1 the best system scale version we will ever get? I'd love a new Jangos Slave 1 that was just a recolour of the 20th anniversary Bobas Slave 1. Increase the price and make it 150$. I'm perfectly ok with that. Should I be looking to buy older system scale sets on the secondary market because we are never going to get upgrades at that scale ever again ?
  18. This was discussed a few pages back. Younger designers on the star wars team is absolutely part of it.
  19. I was looking at a list of star wars sets released by year recently. I realized 2023 was the only year I didn't buy any new Star Wars sets since 2007. The amount of clone wars sets is part of it 🤷
  20. I wouldn't be surprised if it was pretty close to a remake of the 2021 bobas version which is much smaller dimensions than Arc 170 but more pieces. So that checks out...
  21. From a scale stand point the smaller sized/cheaper price point ships work better being down sized. From a general model build/detail standpoint they still feel lesser than old versions. We agree but I'd still rather have older TIEs and Xwings than the smaller versions. That TIE is when the term "chibi scale" really started being used in the fandom. No one should be super picky about scale with Lego. Close enough for display/play purposes is all we are going to get. At that point the better build/model is what matters imo.
  22. I didn't like that one either. We all understand Lego has been producing these small, less detailed, sets to keep the cost down and target kids and they have separate lines targeted at adults I understand it but it's too bad we don't get many quality system scale sets anymore. It leads me to pass on a lot of sets. If you had the 20th anniversary Slave 1 there was no reason to pick up the "lesser" version from 2021. That was an easy pass.
  23. UCS boba and system scale boba slave 1 were on shelves at the same time. It seems likely from a reusable parts stand point. That being said, a 70$ version sounds horrible. Hopefully it's at least similar to the 20th anniversary Slave 1. I would definitely buy that. A 70$, tiny, version is assuredly a pass. 🤦 Speaking of, the 20th anniversary version was a very quality model. Just a rerelease in Jango colors is what I would want personally.
  24. Judging by the complaints here and on other lego forums you are an outlier. 5 years ago clone troopers were desired. I give Lego credit, they listened. Too much 😂. It's saturated. At this point it feels like we are getting clone troopers at the expense of other things. Thank you TLG for the clones. We are good for awhile.
