The green tub available last year was a good deal pricewise, and a nice tub. The 'large box' available at one of the Lego stores during BrickWorld this year was neither. It was just a cardboard box, held about nine large cups worth of bricks, and so at $150 (IIRC) was actually more expensive volume-wise than just buying ten cups ($15 each). The only possible advantage I could see is if you took the time to stack bricks, since the box is rectangular and the cups aren't. Hopefully they lowered the price before springing this on the general public.
