  1. Well done, I know a couple of guys who have got their AAT and I know what a result it is to get to this point
  2. Hi there, I've ended up with two accounts after having a heck of a trouble logging in for the last week - I thought that there was a problem with my original account and was having problems retrieving the password so I created a test account - Test1 - if memory serves, after that had been created I finally managed to get the old account working. I haven't posted anything using Test1 and would love for it to be deleted :) Sorry about the palava.
  3. Built my sig-fig and a bunch of exo-force dudes, watched babylon 5 and had a physio appointment :)
  4. Sorry about the double post but thanks to the earlier help and the power of bricklink I present my sig-fig - Kristina Dark Robot Hunter :P She looks suprisingly similar to me except for the laser gun, sword and robot legs (although I do have an ankle full of metal...) Being an exo-force fan the sig fig is designed to fit in neatly with that universe whilst also allowing me a little leeway to include it in space and star wars MOC's.
  5. That's pretty neat, it's like a cross between an exo-mech and a battlemech, good going!
  6. I've been working on a bunch of exo-inspired mecha but alas due to a brick shortage on my part none of them have yet to leave the LDD. Still I should have a few new exo spods arriving in the post at the end of the week including Hitomi (hurrah!). Chrissy
  7. I can't for the life of me remember what the trans colours used for Futuron where (as it's been many years since I last rummaged through my lego) was it just trans blue?
  8. Thanks for that there are a couple of those that I love - guess a Bricklink order will be happening soon...
  9. Simple - I'm called Christine. Being a chick I can usually get my name on forums as a lot of my interests are male dominated, if I'm not Christine I sometimes goes as Chrisy_m_uk.
  10. I'm struggling with building mine, anyone able to help me - have there been any blonde female wigs? If so anyone know where I can get one!
  11. Really? Man the official storyline was even dumber than I thought...
  12. I was pondering earlier that there aren't nearly enough people represented in the exo-force line if the human resistance was just made up of the heroes plus gate guard then all the robots would need to do would be attack en masse. Given this what do folks think was actually going on? Personally I'm inclined to think that there where other more mundane exo-force units manning more mundane mecha, the guys we see are simply the creme de la creme of the exo-force.
  13. Finally got around to buying the Exo-Force Golden Guardian which should arrive tomorrow - am really looking forwards to this set!
  14. They make me think of half eaten gummy babies so no I really don't like them...
  15. You know I think they are kind of cool in a strange way...
  16. Bought Sentai Fortress today for MISB for £10 - thats 86% off the reccomended sale price!
  17. Today I bought set 8111 Exoforce River Dragon (a nice little build) and 7709 Sentai Fortress (for a massive 10 pounds!) A good day of lego :)
  18. Just a short message to say love the webcomic and keep up the good work! Chrissy
  19. Not quite as badly as mine does being an accessory for your set... Indeed I am Music Accessory Set 2! Excellent thread btw :)
  20. Well lego is part of the world which I call 'things I can do for fun' the rest isn't (as much). Where that the rest of the world worked in the same way as lego, then I could repair my car myself by popping out the broken part and putting a new one in rather than having to take it to a specialist...
  21. Thanks to everyone for the welcome :) As to current themes it's a toss up between star wars (because I like some of the bits available in the sets) and the mars mission sets. The only problem I have with them though is that I don't really like the aliens much in them. TBH if I could have any range back it would be the original Blacktrons which where my absolute favourites! BTW That is an increadible Venator I Scream Clone!
  22. Hey folks, for those of you who have read the post on female lego fans you'll have seen my post there for the rest a more formal introduction seems right here! My name is Christine and I used to collect lego when I was a wee bairn, primarily town and space themes although of the two I had far more space sets. Then during my teenage years I stopped collecting and the two large boxes of lego I had collected where put away. About a year ago I stumbled across the Brothers Brick blog and was fascinated by the craftmanship which had gone into some of the creations, I've read that ever since and recently was inspired by the influx of cheap exoforce sets to get back into the hobby. Et voila here I am and will soon be recovering those two lovely big boxes of lego from my parents! In the real world I just finished training as a surveyor and am currently laid up at home recovering from a broken leg which has proven to be the ideal time to build! Chrissy
