Woah now these are some fine sets . Though I probably can't afford that lovely castle, I am going to aim for purchasing the rest of the lot. But why are the Dragons always either outnumbered or evenly matched? I certainly hope we see a change in the odds next year so that those tyrannical Lions get what's coming to them!

These are some spot-on figures! I too liked the concept of Galidor and can only hope that as hollywood runs out of fresh ideas, they revisit this series and maybe flip it into a PG13 movie. I must say, after seeing what is in LU mode, I'm impressed with your piece usage, especially Gorm, Nepol, and Euripedes. To you, sir, I say bravo on these figures!

Great theme . Although I will only be picking up these sets for the new flesh heads and bodies/pieces for great tatooine work, these sets are very well designed and I'm a big fan of Jake Gyllenhaal (not to mention the lovely Gemma Arterton). The story of PoP is also very exceptional from what I've read, so I'll be looking forward to what contests come around this month.

The only non-hoth must buy set! Thank you for the review, this actually seems to be better than the '06 version. If not only for the figures, I find all the light and dark blueish gray pieces well worth this purchase. Probably switching out the red for the brown from the '06 unless it looks better in person. Thanks again.

Review - the minifigs from 8097 Slave 1
The Nightwing Reborn replied to CopMike's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Based only on these figures, I'd say this is the best set of 2010. I primarily need this for the figs, but seeing the ship as well I know this purchase will be justifiable. I hope that you can review the ship as well soon, Copmike! -
This is a very refreshing MOC that I could actually see in the star wars universe. I can see a TIE Fighter, but I'm not sure why people are seeing the Rogue Shadow. Anyway the dark red and white together really give me a "phantom" vibe, I look forward to seeing more from you.

When I took a look at the first photo i thought this couldn't possibly be minifig scale, but by god it is. Spectacular work for a Rebel BP plus a few spare parts. Ingenius design and by chance do you have any more in-depth views or instructions for this model?

Batman Films Discussion
The Nightwing Reborn replied to ???theriddler???'s topic in Culture & Multimedia
Hopefully the Riddler and Penguin/Catwoman/Harley enlist Scarecrow's help in this film. Scarecrow is indeed my favorite villain in the Nolan bat films. If they could pump his hallucinogens in the streets again... I would just die. I certainly hope we get a Nolan Baman Beyond film like I've dreamed of after this one. -
If we get a mando battlle pack then the opposition could either be senate commando(like in last week's episode), or mandalore guards/ satine guards. I'd like either set

A very nice MOC of one of the coolest vehicles! I , however, find the legs to be a bit short in proportion to your spot-on cockpit. I came to this conclusion by comparison to the 2005 hasbro version, so I could be way off base here. Great creation, and I do enjoy the legs flexibility.

Huh that guy makes alot of good points, but does he ever esablish how much of a fan each of his example people are. I could ask my 22 year old cousin about Ep I characters in the same format and he could describe them all. My father, not so much. When it comes down to it, we all have a bias toward the classics and know more about them than the prequels and probably always will. The newer generations, though, are probably going to be biased to the big explosions and battles and new material coming. I suppose I prefer TPM because, while it wasn't the same Star Wars I knew, it still had simmilar aspects. RX: If you don't mind watching on your computer, most of them are on the star wars website.
-
I would almost say you should watch prequels first, as more of an experiment but I guess I'll try that on my sister's or cousin's kids. You should watch OT first, as you have already decided. My movie ranking is Ep. V, VI, I, IV, II, III. Make sure you watch Ep.I and Ep.II deleted scenes as well because some of them would have been really good as part of the story. Read-up on some OT deleted scenes too, I wish they produced the wampa scenes. Don't even bother on Ep.III unless you want to see a non-canon death scene and the future rebels talking about what should be done. Here is a link to the cut scene page on Wookiepedia: Scenes cut from Star Wars. Once you've seen all of them, I'd suggest you read some Old Republic and NJO novels and comics. If you are really into Star Wars, when you are done you should read some Legacy comics.
-
Pretty nice, I could instantly recall the whole scene. I'd only suggest to find some more printed slopes for the control panels. Great work

A definite must buy, even if only for the minifigs. Thanks for the lovely review this has very well confirmed all my thoughts about this set. Getting this one ASAP.

"Hero Factory" makes me think of an expansion of the lego digital designer program. From the very small pictures, I'd say they are good enough. I will purchase some of them, probably for parts, but doubt I'll pay attention to the story unless they get a comic to replace bionicle's.
-
This is the biggest upset I've had with lego. If it weren't for Bionicle and it's story, I wouldn't have ever been interested in system. Arrivederci Bionicle, I can only hope for it's return one day... As for this new theme of "flexible" sets, I hope they are better than I imagine and have a connection to Bionicle simmilar to most space themes having a simmilar logo.
-
Well, I'd rather have it put down than be tortured for another year or more. Atleast the story can only go uphill from here. "The LEGO Group will debut a new, more flexible buildable figure property created by the same people who brought you BIONICLE. At the same time, we are also expanding the category to appeal to a younger audience through an established third-party property, starting in January" This quote makes me fear that this new line uses the same or simmilar pieces to ben 10.

Interesting new teaser. If Mata Nui does indeed materialize Tahu, perhaps he brings him the way he remembers him? If Tahu was created before Mata Nui slept, Mata Nui could remember his protector and bring him to Bara Magna. And is it confirmed that the blue "Piraka" is Nektann?

LEGO Star Wars 2010 Pictures and Rumors
The Nightwing Reborn replied to KimT's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Don't worry Ras, the AT-AT driver's helmet is larger than an average Storm Trooper's, so they should remain unchanged. This year looks like it will be great for new pieces, recolors, and some great set remakes. I personally love the Tri-Fighter . -
Definitely agreed here. Avtoran are actually my third favorite small set design. The stars actually pull it off well, the avtoran only had good masks and agori had a small amount of new pieces, but the stars actually look good. It's weird I hated these at first glance and now love them, especially Taka and the Rahkshi.
-
I have definitely had a change of heart on these. The gimmick is better, the sets look better, and Taka returns, even if in silver. I will never judge sets on prelims again. Thanks Tillius for those pics since my computer can't save target's. EDIT: Also, does the sneak peak in the TLR magazine deal with "Bionicle Stars" or something not yet seen?

So if Tahu's pack-in is a gold Hau, what is the one with Gresh?
