  1. Your art is amazing! The colouring, lighting, and camera angles are all superb. Great level of detail.
  2. I made a dragonfly once. :) Nice to see you on Flickr, Front. I enjoy your photos.
  3. I like it. Now make a five-sided one. :D
  4. I support this movement. I think they could even do two versions. A Ben 10-style version would be a low-price-point alternative to the UCS version.
  5. It's Turaga Vakama's noble Kanohi Huna. One of my personal favourite masks, especially after the way it was rendered in Mask of Light.
  6. My reaction to the prelimages: "LOL! What! No way! They can't be serious! LOL!" And then I looked closer and saw that Tahu's got -- get this -- a TNG Av-Matoran head. Ew. That is so wrong. We never want to see that piece again, LEGO. Never. At least not as an actual head on a guy that's not supposed to be a friggin' hunchback. Good thing I'm not obligated to buy it.
  7. @TSO: That's some awesome art there! Your way of combining and integrating both human and "robotic" characteristics is something I haven't seen done quite the same way by anyone else. Your style is distinctive and enjoyable. Toa Tuyet, Strata, and Kayah are all well-conceived original designs. I think the picture of Jovan and Strata has more than a hint of romantic passion, lol. She's practically falling on him, he's cupping his hand around her waist. Very uncanonical, but fun to see. Also, we hear a lot about female sets not looking feminine, but I don't think the male sets necessarily always look particularly masculine, either. The toys are usually kinda undifferentiated, if not androgynous. But that Jovan you drew... MANLINESS INCARNATE. Roodaka vs. Alien was a surprise. I found my attention fixed on the alien. It's really well done. I hope you do lots of non-Bionicle art, too, because you seem to be a natural.
  8. All these photos are beautifully done and really bring out the nostalgic in me. I enjoy feasting my eyes on the sight of these figures, appreciating the aesthetic sense and the dedicated work that went into their design. I own most of the sets dating back to the beginning of BIONICLE, but I usually take them apart soon after building them and rarely put them back together again, even when it's technically possible to do so. My compulsion for MOCing, for having a large pool of parts available for building, is just that strong. Thanks for the great pictures, Front. Keep them coming!
  9. I don't worry about categorizing into genres. That's a job for librarians. :P The logical word to replace "hell" would be "ill," in the context. But it wouldn't have quite the same level of meaning. Also, it just technically sounds better sung with an H in front. I love the atmosphere this song evokes. It's very well suited to this year's BIONICLE story arc. Alas, however, the theme of the song resonates less with me than does "Creeping in My Soul," "Gravity Hurts," or "Closer to the Truth." I'm sure it'll grow on me as I listen and digest it more, though. I fixed a couple of words for you guys: Release... Let me take on eternity Taking one more step And let it rip through me. I'm building up my nerve So you can wish me well Or you can wish me hell. From pride we'll fall! Bye bye Babylon! Once reaching for the sun, Depraving everyone. So don't you know, You don't belong. Bye Bye Babylon! Now scattered, you were wrong Left burning in the sun We'd better be... Bye Bye Babylon, begone! Unseen... The crime of destruction is facing me I wanted to retreat, But you won't let me be. I'm calling for belief. Be sure, I will be there. And you will fall! [fade] Bye Bye Babylon! Now scattered, you were wrong. Left burning in the sun We'd better be... Bye Bye Babylon, begone! Bye Bye Babylon, begone! Bye Bye Babylon, begone!
