  1. Large Entry: Abandoned Royal Outpost Size: 200 pieces Description: An officially 'abandoned' outpost of the Royal navy, 2 marines are left to fend for themselves against bloodthirsty pirates. Luckily a local privateer comes to the rescue... This set has three main parts: the abandoned Royal outpost; a small pirate vessel, and a privateer catamaran. The outpost is built so that it can be opened by sliding the two 16x32 base-plates apart from each other; when it is opened everything still fits together nicely. It has a small dock guarded by a cannon that also guards the treasure inside. It has a very abandoned feel to it, like it has been attacked a lot, so there are a lot of 'unfinished' edges. The pirate vessel is based on a black hull (from a police boat of old I think?) and has a cannon and original Lego pirate sail. The catamaran is based on pieces from the very first droid star-fighter set from Episode I and the sail is from a wagon in the wild west sets (luckily it had some cool cutlasses on it!). This is the first model that I have put online, let alone in a contest, so let me know what you think! Here it is: Main image... Inside the outpost... The front while the model is spread out... Here is the link to my flickr that has all of the pieces I used (a quick note, I miscounted the pieces at first so there is one extra small barrel that I took out, but it's still in the pics of the laid out pieces). If there are any more angles or closeups you want to see just let me know! My Flickr Page Thanks for putting on the contest, it was a lot of fun!!!
  2. Thanks! I'll be posting my entries later tonight!
  3. Hey everyone! I am new here so I am not sure if this question has an 'understood' answer.... I am working on an entry for the contest and I was wondering if the large swivel piece counts as one piece or two pieces towards the model total. (They are the 4 stud x 4 stud bottom ones that a cannon mount fits really well on.) Thanks for your patience! -Thomas
