  1. Thanks for sharing Brent!!
  2. It could probably be made with the M PF motor as well, which is skinnier but I just had the XL ones laying around. Am going to order a couple M's to try out so I can look at more of a compact design without a building as part of it.
  3. Here are some images of the inside. I can't really take a video of it with the sides off because the building holds the technic parts and the motor up so it would probably just flop around when i turned the motor on. The 24 tooth gear in the pictures is actually a 24 tooth clutch in my building and the black fork piece just represents the http://www.bricklink...asp?P=92693c01 piece since I couldnt find either in LDD. I also had to adjust where the fork was and moved it further towards the back side of the motor, but that was only because the roof of my building ended up over hanging the track not allowing the trains to go by so I had to position the fork so that the building could be a bit further from the track. I had hoped to fully encompass the switch lever within my building design but then added the overhanging roof which killed that idea. Some of my piece choices were just from what I had available and was trying to make sure the motor didn't torque too much inside the building. When I get around to building more I'll probably change it up some and make a few different buildings, but for now I want to work on a control box and figure out how I want to wire my train table for more of them.
  4. Thanks for the comments. It uses part 92693c01 http://www.bricklink...asp?P=92693c01 to push the switch forward and I use 2 http://www.bricklink...tem.asp?P=32250 with 3 3L technic axles to lock around the switch tight.
  5. Just got finished building my switch track station that uses a power functions motor. And a video

  8. I have LDD 4.3.5 and I was just wondering if there was some way to get back to the Paint Tool where it used the selected color from the palatte instead of bringing up all the available colors. I think that may have been part of the non Extended setup but I was just curious if there was possibly a setting for the preferences.ini or something that would allow it to do that. Also I've seen in both the manual and in other posts/webpages that the Paint tool has 4 sub menu's in Extended mode but I don't get those in mine and wasn't sure if I might have something set up wrong.
  9. Does anyone have a torque wrench or gauge that could measure the torque required to flip the switch? Curious to find out what it takes.
  10. In the process of building a MOC ship. Interested to see how this works out and hopefully there well be a 3rd round in the future I can take part in.
  11. Could the half stud coverage be accomplished just by using a 1x1 or 1x2 brick with the hollow side studs and placing the 1x4 tile with it's bottom studs in the holes instead of around the holes? Sorry I don't have parts with me right now but can post a picture later if that doesnt make sense.
