Winter Village Sets - Rumours and Discussion
finishlast replied to Gearslover01's topic in LEGO Town
Don't hold your breath the link below is NOT the new set. I am unsure if a big tram would fit the buildings tbh. I'd rather have a small tram that looks more like this: LEGO Winter Village Tram for the holidays! (thebrickblogger.com) Or in my case a tram with horses, I'm more into the dickensian style of buildings and stuff. -

They had no problems with the Taj Mahal. With its symbolic it has -at least- something to do with the hindu god Shiva and on the other hand it is called the jewel of Muslim art in India, so a combination of two religions. I know it's a mausoleum and not a mosque or church but it's religious none the less. Lego released graveyards sets lego Set 4766 semi mausoleum style. If there was a church in one on the Harry Potter movies and it would have been importend for it then they would have done a church, I'm sure. -
If you want to drive him nutz, you can guide him to do the carrusel too: Have fun!

100$ Oho! My "Winter Village Cottage Alarm bell is ringing", please no remamke of that one. I would rather see somethink like a winter bookshop or maybe a shop that sells christmas ornaments and nutcrackers and stuff. Or as a funny addition the house of Scrooge&Marley with a lil Ebenezer minifig ... -

On the "Facebook lego winter village" page is the front and back cover. I don't think it really fits the time line of the other smaller sets. Will get it though. -

Ah, I'm pretty late for that... but it's never too late I suppose. I'm all in for the idea to have a train station this year, well actually I'm all in for any idea, as long as it's not a toy shop. Found this one here on "ideas", that would be a good start I think: https://ideas.lego.com/projects/163876 But I would be "ok" with this one too: https://ideas.lego.com/projects/165844 ;o) -
I used 2 different leds. For the candle effect in the sleigh I used - well - led candles which I bought in one of these 1 € shops. I think it was 4 candles for 1€. The the other lights are 0805 smd leds. http://www.led1.de/s...d-bauform-0805/ I used a 6 channel chasing light. Channel 1-4 for the roof, channel 5 for Rudolphs nose and 6 for the toy machine. I had it flying around for over a year, so I used it for this set. In the carousel I made a 10 channel one by myself. When you get older you get lazy ;) http://www.conrad.de...ef=searchDetail All powered with a Fujitsu 19v powersupply. You have to wire them, just put double sided tape on a metal plate, put the smd led on it and wire the cables, I put some extra superglue on the wires and the led for stability reasons. I used a 1mm drill to drill the holes. If you want to know how I did the carousel thing just click the link in my signature.

Yeah, there should be one spare trans red 1x1 in th box included. But anyways, I couldn't wait till december so I put everything together for a quick test. I just found out the first booth didn't have light, so I fixed the loose wire. Damn you wires! I need a 1,8meter woodboard. It's getting way too long... And here is the diorama in all it's blinking beauty... I didn't put in all details and mini-figs, I have to save something for Christmas ;)

Welcome HO-HO-Home After last year's carousel insanity I was happy to see less LED options in 10245 Santas Workshop, so here it is, the 2014 edition of finishlast christmas... Unfortunatelly the toy machine seems to be broken... Here is the blinking layout in action. I'll update this post when I put the whole diorama together later in december, it should fit somewhere in here at least I hope so.. Merry Christmas (soon)

OK, for me every christmas set means illumintation, so I tried to count up the needed light sources. The machine needs a 2channel blinker red and green. 1x red 1x green Santa's sleight needs 2 tealight LEDs. Rudolph obviously a blinking red nose. 2x tealight LEDs 1x red blinking LED There is no?!?!? light inside the house. The interior. Well. So we better add a light of some sort with 2 LEDs. 2xwhite 8channel chasinglight on the roof. 1x red 1x pink 2x green 2x orange 2x blue Lamps on the walls 3x yellow: left lamp 2 and on the right side 1. Christmastree 2x red 2x yellow ************ So we should need: 2x blue 4x red 1x pink 5x yellow 3x green 2x orange 2x white Special LED 2x electric tealight LED 1x red blinker for Rudolph Blinker transparent red 1x1 or just a round led So all in all 22 LEDs, did I miss anything?

No big chance that the interior will be something like this? https://amodularlife...aa4672c32_b.jpg https://www.flickr.c...ickabrad/page3/ Ok the set won't go under 3000$...
