Next CUUSOO set: 21103 Back to the Future™ Time Machine
cunningfox99 replied to Blakstone's topic in LEGO Licensed
Checked my store and the 2 others in Scotland and it's showing Coming Soon - 9th August as available to buy in store. Lego Store in Glasgow has the set for sale now and "lots of stock through the back of the store" when I asked about it selling out before I could collect today. Guy who answered the phone kindly offered to reserve for me to collect today, 4 reserved for me, family and friends. I'm the only Lego fan of the 4, the other 3 all want it because they, like me, grew up with the BTTF trilogy. -

REVIEW - Halloween Accessory Set (850487)
cunningfox99 replied to cunningfox99's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Yes all 3 minifigures come apart at the waist.. The witch, with her dress, and the ghost, with it's white bottom half, do not have tradditional legs, more like blocks, but these come apart from the torso. The witch has some detailing on her "legs". The zombie has normal lego legs. -
REVIEW - Halloween Accessory Set (850487)

Ha ha, thats one big rat! Thanks for pointing that out. -
Hello guys, I'm Robin and I'm a AFOL. I'm new around here and this will be my first review. I ordered the Haunted House (10228) along with free Zombie Car (40076) from Lego Store UK. I noticed another cheap Halloween Set was also just released (850487) for £10.00 so I grabbed that too, my Quidco cashback will cover the cost of that. I thought a grave in the grounds of my Haunted House was a must. Unfortunately my Haunted House set is a christmas gift from my wife so I have had to put that away for now. Name: Halloween Accessory Set Set Number: 850487 Pieces: 58 Price: £9.99 Ages: 6+ Minifigures: 3 Theme: Monster Fighters Year of Release: 2012 The Halloween set comes in a plastic retail case, very nice graphics on the bottom half and the minifigures are on display on the top half. Personally, I like the presentation of the set, it's small so it's never going to grab you with the size of the box, but the minifigures on display is pretty cool. The rear of the box shows the same picture of the completed set but this time the witch is also on show. All items are packaged in a plastic inlay so no worries about crushed instructions with this set. All items: You receive 3 mini figures; a zombie with radio and briefcase, a witch with broom and a ghost in chains. The detailing on all three is very good, I personally love the chains the ghost comes with, they are pretty neat, and of course it is glow in the dark. Unique items : I liked the name on the headstone of the grave along with the cat and toad, every wicked witch needs a cat and a toad! Build: Well it's a small set, the build lasts about 5-10 minutes, relatively simple. The sloping brown 1x1 triangular bricks can be annoying to ground properly with my fat fingers but I think the headstone looks really cool, the vines and bat on top give it a real neat authentic haunted graveyard look. Completed Build: My Ratings Value: 10/10 - The minfigures are brilliant and 3 for £10 is value in anybody's book. Design: 9/10 - The details in the head stone and additional pieces are brilliant, very authentic look to the small set. Playability: 8/10 - Not much you can play with in this set IMO, but it fits in with the Monster Hunter theme and would work with more bigger sets in this theme. Parts: 9/10 - Nice colours, good design, a few nice parts. Overall: 9 / 10 - If you can lay your hands on one (Lego store online (UK) appears sold out already) I think it's cracking value for money. Lego Store: 10 / 10 - Bought on Saturday, dispatched and delivered from the Netherlands by Friday morning. Very good service, packed fantastically, not one mark on any 3 of the sets in the large box, lots of bubble wrap.

Item purchased from eBay - am I being unreasonable?
cunningfox99 replied to cunningfox99's topic in LEGO Pirates
Yes, the seller was very helpfull. I emailed them over a list of the missing pieces with pictures and they sent them by mail. They sent 1 wrong piece (the red 3 sided triangle piece which sits on the side of the rear of the ship) but I wasn't going to quibbale at that point, found one on ebay for £0.50 delivered so just went with that for easyness and quickness. Will post a few pictures over the weekend when I get the chance. I love the size and all round coolness of the ship and the sails. -
Item purchased from eBay - am I being unreasonable?

Thank you all for your replies. I didn't pay the usual prices of £150+ on ebay as he 'stupidly' mis titled the set but included the correct set number so I managed to bag it for the opening price. As I mentioned I have messaged him with the missing parts so far and will complete the build tonight and give him a final list of the missing bits and replacement cost later and wait for a response. I ordered a separate 'job lot' of 6 different classic pirate islands/sets earlier in the week and the seller detailed every set, everything down to the missing hats/swords from each sets to enable me to pre-empt arrival by ordering these pieces to complete the sets. At least I know what I am getting. I will be much more carefull in future. Thanks again. -
Bought 6286 Skull's Eye Schooner off eBay and it arrived yesterday. It was described as: "All pieces are accounted for and comes with the instruction booklet. Does not come with the original box unfortunately. All pieces are in excellent condition. Started the build last night and so far I have noticed that: 1 minifigure has the completly wrong head and wrong leg colour 1 minifig has totally wrong colour of legs Wrong colour should pads (epaulette) 2 missing pistols and 1 missing sword(not a big deal) Red sloping brick from the top of the rudder is missing Parrot is not there Statue from the front of the ship is missing a hand and it's forearm arm has a crack running from it's wrist to past the elbow 2 of the blue 4x2 blue bricks are Megablocks branded lego blocks Am I being rediculous to expect this set to be 'perfect' with all the correct pieces or is it fair game to go back and complain? Of course I can purchase these bits online for about £15 delivered in total but thats not the point. Cheers

Hi guys, 1st post from a now obssesed AFOL, have been a watcher of these forums for about a month now. I've been browsing the various master lists on each forum and I spotted that the Skull's Eye Schooner which was a set I had as a young child. Found one on eBay which I think has been mislabled by the seller but with the correct set number. All pieces and instructions, although it has no box, snapped it up with 1 second to go this morning for £112.00 delivered. Very happy.
