Hello everyone, I'm relatively new to the world of LEGO trains. I have a few sets like the Toy Story 3 train and the Emerald Night. I'm hoping to eventually combine my modular buildings collection with a proper layout. One of the areas I'm really interested in investigating is layout automation. I would love to make all of the building light up at night etc.

Maybe they could have a multi use commercial purposed building? I.e. Post office on the ground floor, a carriage way to the side of the building that gives access to the rear and then maybe a store on the second story, and lastly housing on the third story?

Prices are a bit steep here in Australia. The mini figure series is a good example. From what I understand they are almost exclusively produced in China. And from what I understand they are one of our highest ranked trading partners. So how can we still be charged nearly $5.00 for a mini fig? And I agree with ordering overseas. I have leant towards that approach for some time now. And that's quite sad because I believe in supporting TLG.
