  1. I had some parts left after building DS2. I found this hint: http://www.fbtb.net/sets/index.asp?set=10143 ("secret ship") Seems I could build a ship with this. Hmm. The green parts are very green (not very typical for SW LEGO, especially mini models). If I look at some pictures (instructions, package) I see there are some differences in the lower half. The transition between the finished and the un-finished side is different. Maybe the LEGO designer changed his mind? We all know these very little parts (1x1 etc.) LEGO adds to the packages so you can replace vacuumed parts... But this time there are quite big parts and more than one. What did you do with those parts? PS: Sandcrawler had one bigger part included which was left over, too. But that time it surely was a mistake by LEGO (compare thread "PHOTO REVIEW: 10144 Sandcrawler").
  2. Sounds good (at least for a perfectionist like me). :-) Some very small parts are often remaining, which is intentional. I have many Star Wars sets, but no set ever had such large "extra" brick. And packaging at LEGO works quite perfect. This is obviously a mistake: Either LEGO miscounted or the instructions are incorrect or I'm a bit dozy. Anybody else having exactly this brick remaining?
  3. I need help building the Sandcrawler! I build it yesterday and have a remaining brick! It's a 1x8 brown plate (from the part list: 8x 3460 RedBrown Plate 1 x 8). This part is really remaining (I contacted LEGO and they say 8 plates is the correct number). I just used 7 plates. Can anybody help me? I searched the instructions multiple times and didn't find it. The model is quite left-right-symmetric so I assume I'm missing a piece somewhere in the middle (or front or back). I marked the positions where I used those 7 plates in the picture. Green means 2x (right/left), red means 1x (front "door"). Best regards
  4. I'll buy this set to complete my collection and I think about importing this from U.S. (together with the Sandcrawler) to save some money. I think the Star Destroyer is the better set because it's simply larger (not in number of parts but in length) and has more details (laser cannons etc). On the pictures the Death Star II seems to be quite simple in architecture. I hope there are some more classic sets like cloud city, Millennium Falcon (new) and AT-AT in the future (with many figures). At least I don't need any more R2D2's and Luke's and Vader's...
  5. Maybe Amazon just should not allow preorders before ShopAtHome. IIRC the TIE collection was "exclusive" some time ago and StarWarsShop.com sold this item, too. So maybe Sandcrawler is some "shared" exclusive, too. If not, why is the page still available?
  6. "This item is currently not available." :'( Sancrawler 10144: http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detai...l/-/B0009GIBO2/
  7. I can't see any price change. US price is 299 US$, Price for Germany is 369 EUR.

@jonfett: set 851228: Are those minifigs classic ones (I guess at least Darth Vader and Chewbacca are, so what about Mr. Kenobi)? If there are more sets comming, I hope LEGO will distinguish between Classic and Episode I,II,II ones. In the past I had to buy Episode I Mini Sets to get e.g. the Y-Wing parts. :( 851229 contains just one minifig I'm interested in.
  9. Hi, thanks for the warm welcome. I already signed up for the Eurobricks Event silently (mailing DoubleT) some weeks before... :) I forgot to intodruce myself: I'm located at Germany and collect Star Wars Classic LEGO only (I think I have all sets which were sold until now...) I'm not really interested in Episode I,II,III stuff because I was disappointed by Episode I. The Death Star II is a Shop@Home Exclusive, so I guess it won't show up on Ebay for a good price. And I want a new one. And I want it early (this means: at least this year). If the Sandcrawler appears I'm forced (by some jedi magic ;)) to buy it, too... Best regards Stb
  10. Hi, I'm lucky not having to wait until Sep 30 (but I probably wait until Eurobricks Event to buy this set). But I'm dissatisfied with the LEGO pricing policy. I guess this was discussed before, but if there's no early bird discount like for the ISD this will be the most expensive set for me. I bought some sets from US in the past because I could save some money AND get it earlier, even though I had to pay high delivery fees and VAT. Death Start II costs 299 US$ which is around 233 EUR today. Price for e.g. Germany: 369 EUR. :(
