Wow.. Spent the last...... Must be few hours.. Going through the 84 pages of this post. I have to say I'm overwhelmed with the brilliance of wat I have seen and read.. Recently came through the dark days and have spent last couple years restocking a very dwindling collection, moved house and finally got my man cave (converting old shed/workshop) So.. Hello all .... I have one question .. Has anyone or (could I) INVADE your beloved avalonia ? ((Am I sayin I have acquired an army capable? Do I have the resources? Do I have the power.?.)) Hey all.. May 1st i had an idea but zero bricks, two months on and some collecting later (i do love bricklink :) and umpteen times building n rebuilding i have finally settled on this (very rough) set out of the first quarter of the full design. I added a small plate to set up the gathered together troop of explorers heading for the tree of life, as you can see already they have been ambushed before reaching the natrual enviroment built bridge that will lead them to th island... As i said wat you can see will basically be one quarter of a square... the main 'Tree of Life' you see is again one quarter of the trunk and ill eventually be set over all four sections, hopefully around about 2 feet round (if not bigge) and go as high as i have in my mind, it will also be hollow (ish) inside to put in a lot of different ideas :D Mor details will follow, thought id pop up the start no to get in som thoughts from you guys... Remember that on may 1st i had no bricks just a desire , a 20 yr absence from brick building also, so forgive my learning curve again lol.. 'AMBUSHED' Nature fights back with spider snakes and humans that have been transformed into natures army The bridge i been working on.... Over the bridge to the island (first quarter) you can see the very beginnings of the 'Tree of Life' at the back.. Different angle.... ok so there is a looong ay to go , the water not been touched really and the main tree has a long way to go , been working on the angling to get it 'round' as possible if u get me.. Update on the Troop of Tree Protecters... Still Tweaking to go but im growing to the thought that characters that have attempted in the past to breach the island have been trapped and transformed by nature it self.....

Thanks for the link to that minifigure head, Lead me to search bricklink after and i actually found that and a few various heads that might work also. Which of course lead then onto looking into different shades of colours in arms hands etc .. So hours later after reading your post im back and paypal dented again , so i say thanks in many ways haha.. As i said these guys have much tweaking to go but i love the actual thought them coming together... Cheers 'The Tre of Life' is a very early WIP that has been rebuilt sveral times.. It will be a Large avatar (i hope) style tree with few ideas wont reveal now, Its more made for fun really but i hope to set it all up as an moc in due course .. My main problem is lack of bricks as i only restarted collecting beginning of may.. Day after i posted the pic i tweaked them with some brown trousers, even mix matched them.. looking better get a pic up soon.. BUT .. The 'Tree like creature' idea i have been fiddlin with along side these guys.. Now plz remember , May 1st 2012 i had no bricks wat so ever, A lucking buy at a booty got me hooked once again, so its a bit a week from bricklink.. So ignoring the colour variation and the bottom half for now this my rough wip of tree like creature.. Very rough wip but i do like th head at the moment , more bricks are on way so see how he improves .. Feedback always welcome... Thanks

hi all.. i really ant to sho off a few bits ive mad to get feedback , i learnt that u need to post ten tims before you can upload pics?? i have reached ten posts but when i go to upload a pic into a topic it says i have used 97 of my 100.. just wondered if i had to wait longer or wat ?? also as a newbie to this AMAZING site and also someone whom was away from lego for 20yrs (i know im sorry life n all that) , im a bit lost with some of the terminology used here . examples.. Hi ALL For ages i have ooo'ed and ahhhh'd at so many amazing builds that you guys love to show off, then the links i discover from there, so on n on etc etc ... As a growing kid i adored lego and collected all through the 80's (currently 39 yrs young) always loved the castle stuff and i reackon back then i had at last 3/4's of all known castle sets... i remember with fondeness and also upsetness, as i know like many before.. the lego simply got dispose of at some point from then till now... never has the fasscination of lego left me over the years.... Finally as a more settled 'Adult'?!?!? :) i recently bought a mixture of lego at a car boot and lovingly poured through the lego with the same glee i did soooo many years ago now... then i hit the internet searching and realising so many people like me out there... I found this amazing site plus so many other ones also .. I discovered sites with endless pages of instruction that u can simply print out :D (happy) THEN i FOUND.... BRICKLINK.... WoW .. Heaven in a Brick... The chance to Buy individual bricks of exactly wat you want :) Has Bricklink caused a new addiction.... Has Eurobricks sucked hours of my life gawping in amazement.... Has all this lead to me recollecting and nimbling the fingers and opening the mind ready to recreate and learn again ..... YES INDEEDY... i had an idea before and been working on it slowly.. basically im looking a landscaping and tree building which will then lead to a new scene that ill reveal later on... For no the Pics are of the Last month of collecting lego and building and learning as i collect a bit at a time ( im no way loaded this is a looong project lol) I Always wish to know you ALL and befriend everyone.. i love the comments tat you guys give i i read mostly honesty and general thoughts n crictism .. anyways, heres wat i done over the last month .. just recntly got a nice order through the door so all you see has been broken down for now ... her goes.. gently guys , this is one months learning n toying with ideas... its been like 20 years since i last dabbled... i can only seem to add one picture, the very first, think ill upload somewhere and add a link...
