MOC: Quick Wild West scene
jed_barabrian replied to LovinLegoSince97's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Nice to see some Wild West MOCs around here. Always loved that theme. Anyway great MOC and good use of lots of figures in a small space. -
I would just add the gate if you don't have the pieces for the rest of the walls. Also, I would obviously build the Prancing Pony, and the tavern across the street where Aragorn and the Hobbits watch the Nazgul stab the beds.

Lego Polar Xxpress 2013
jed_barabrian replied to legomilk's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Hmm... Interesting perhaps it could be TLG trying to raise awareness about Polar Ice Caps and such. -
Hello All! I recently made my first decal, a soldier from Arnor from LOTR. Like I said this is my first decal so it is not very good. Comments and critiscism are welcome. Sorry I had to attach a file for it to be viewed, I don't know how to make images viewable on the page. LOTR Decals.docx

I must say, very impressive. You didn't use advanced techniques, kept it simple and the result was fantastic.

The 'Golden Age' of Lego, is it now?
jed_barabrian replied to Hey Joe's topic in General LEGO Discussion
The sets from the early 90's were great, but I think TLG has hit it's stride since '09. The Star Wars theme was kind of dying down, but clone wars came out and since then TLG has taken off. Also as of right now we have the "Dream Themes", LOTR , Superheroes, Star Wars (Has been around for a while but in my opinion the current sets are best), kids love monster hunters, and I always wnated a collectible minifigure line. Therefore, as I said, the Golden age age has been going on since '09, so enjoy it. -
These are great! The helmets on the Germans have a bit of chrome (I think) and it really adds a touch.

I know that exact Orc, it looks great. -
Great MOC, but I always pictured the "beach" as being longer.

Nice MOC. The tower in the background is a nice touch.

Some more fantastic work by you.

Nice figure Oky. The headress is especially cool.

Hello all: I recently bought the Uruk-hai army set, and noticed something. As far as I remember, Eomer never wore a cape, but the other riders of Rohan did. Anyone else notice this?
-
I would say that a ship is more difficult than castle, because a ship has alot of factors that a castle doesn't, such as rigging. A castle has alot of (easy) "stacking". This is coming from someone who has attempted ships and built castles.
