  1. Hi can some on tell me if it is possible to program the Mindstorms Scout unit out of the 9735-1: Robotics Discovery Set the same way you can program the Electric Mindstorms RCX brick 9747-1: Robotics Invention System 1.5? I am building a MOC Robotic arm and need 2 rcx bricks but I only have 1 at the moment, but a fried has the Mindstorm scout unit I can borrow if its programable, if not then I'll have to find anothe rcx brick or better still a full mindstorm invention set. Cheers Gallop
  2. I have just had a quick look and the only thing I can find is an Insperational sheet which can be found here Idea Sheet for 10183 There is instructions but only for the 1 main model, these can ba found here Instructions Hope this helps Gallop
  3. If you were able to pick 1 set to be released by Lego what would it be? Me personaly I would love to see them release a Big Technic Tower Crane which would incorperate the new Power Functions.
  4. Once I have built them they get displayed for about 2 weeks then I dismantle them and place all the bits in to zip lock bags and all back in the box. I have to do this other wise the misses might knock them on to the floor while dusting. Boxes then get put away in cubdard up staires that has a lock on it so my kids cant get in and play with the sets. When I am building a MOC (now I know what that means) I have a huge box of bits but if I need bits out of boxed sets I put a note in the box they came out of so when I get replacements they can go back in so I always have complete boxed sets. Quite anal I know. Gallop
  5. I am sorry if I have posted this in the wrong section but I am new here. Anyway does anyone know of any Lego events or exabitions that are going on in the north of England. I have searched the net but cant find any good info on events. Thanks Gallop

  7. Hello and Welcom
  8. Hi everyone and thanks for the warm welcomes. I have not posted to much as of yet but I am still reading through all the posts. In answer to some of your questions, My main theme is Technic, then Mindstorms, followed by creator and starwars, and then anything that takes my fancy, unfortunatly I really am not in to Bionical, sorry Hi to the fellow north east member Plural where abouts are you? Cheers Gallop
  9. I was in Tesco today and saw 4958: Monster Dino down to
  10. I am currently working motorising the 8285 Tow Truck set with the new power function's. I have motorised the steering so it is controlable from the remote unit also motorised the main drive train. I have taken away the hoist and tail lift and replaced it with Hiab from the set 8436 which I have also motorised so I can slew it left and right. With motorising the steering I was able to ditch the hand of god controls which in turn gave me enought space to incorparate a compressor to operate the pneumatics on the Hiab and the rear traile hitch for the low loader trailor which is the next build so I can transport the 8275 Motorized Bulldozer. I have got a couple of pics which I will be uploading to bricklink when I get the time. As soon as I have I will post links for you.
  11. Love your site, very helpful and informative. Have you thought about abbing links for instructions for each set? This would be a handy featchure for people who dont have all sets but would like to try and build ones they dont have. I know there are sites out there where you can already get instructions for each set but you have to look for that set. With your site the way it is some one might have a spear of the moment decision to try and build 1 while viewing your site and would be handy to click a link there to dl the instructions. Just a thought Keep up the good work. P.S. I have nearly all instructions in pdf format if you needed any. Gallop *sweet*
  12. RCX, Have't been able to buy the NXT yet, the wife says it costs to much :-(
  13. Hi! My name is Jason but I am called Gallop by my friends, I have always been in to Lego since I got my first set at the age of 4. Im now 35 and still going strong. i took a few years out to find a wife buy a house and have some kids, and now thats out the way lego takes up most of my time. I am really in to the Technic and Mindstorm lego but love all of it. If there is a bargain I'll have it. My wife really dont like Lego but thats good cause she just leaves me to it. I have 100 complete sets boxed plus all my loose stuff. Not much else to say really, apart from happy building. Gallop
