  1. wow...You did an amazing job! It looks like you took a picture of the battle while it was taking place. Lots of dibs for a MOC well done. *wub*
  2. It looks so flawless. Nice job! I'll have to work on the box look for sure. Thanks for the info! So far I love the Walk in the Park entry and the Prison entry. Those are just great! I'm learning a lot from trying these contests and seeing other entries. It's making me more addicted to Lego building. :-D
  3. I think my two favorites so far, are the one with the body parts and the one with the brain sucking machine. *wub* I have a question about the overage though. How much is allowed?? I had 1 block of overage, but I see some people have like OODLES of overage. Is that allowed or will those be disqualified? I'm only curious because it will affect how I make vigs in the future. I thought it was a pretty strict limit when I built mine.
  4. I thought this was great. Someone used Legos to make their PostSecret Postcard. Scroll Down and have a look! Edit by Hinckley: :-D :-D :-D label naughty links NSFW: Not suitable for work. Thanks. :-$
  5. Ah, I see. But what about the one that Nyundi did? That one looks like a bit more than an MS Paint job.
  6. Here is my entry. I named it Trick or Treat. It has 18 pieces plus the minifig. YAY for my first impulse MOC. LOL
  7. I see people make it look like the box all the time. Where do you do that? I'm assuming it's a program of some sort? Also, cute contest! I might try my hand and see how it goes. I'm starting to like MOCing like this. Gets my creative juices flowing!
  8. yay! Thanks Unique! I just looked at your Steel. I was like..HOLY CRAP. It's so morbidly wonderful. :-D I don't know how their overhang rule is, but even so, it's a great scene. Now go seek professional help! ;-)
  9. I got my entry up. I'm new here so I have no idea what the Chamber really is. I just understand it's a place for torturing the banned people. I hope I did ok.
  10. This is my first MOC contest but I decided to give it a whirl! I call this "Going Down?". Depending on how bad you've been, you could get off easy (if there is such a thing in the chamber) or you could end up as a human barbeque. The Top Floor is filled with Poisonous Spiders and Scorpions for you to endure. The Second Floor is a spinning sword chandelier which slowly lowers to your impending doom. A guard keeps watch to make sure you get the most out of your stay. The Basement Floor keeps you dangling over a pit of flames. This is a view of the entire Chamber.
  11. Psst...That's a 4x2 piece. Not a 4x4.
  12. I'm new to contests here but I'd love to try it out. It says it's limited to 8 x 8 studs. Does that mean it has to be very tiny? Like 8x8 and that's it or is that the biggest single piece you can use? And exactly what is a vig contest? What does vig stand for? Can someone clear that up for me? :-$
  13. Did you even read the article? It's very obvious it's a joke when you read the entire page. Besides, it said it would be released in the Fall of 2007 and we're past that. You don't see it on shelves do you? There's a good reason for that. LOL
  14. I'm a Halo junkie. I'd totally buy into it if they made stuff like that. What are the blue creatures though? Are those supposed to be the Elites? Having Halo Lego stuff would never happen because of the gore involved. Halo is one of the top rated bad games for children right up there with Gears of War and Call of Duty. Lego would never do that to kids. The idea is neat though. If you could figure out how to make better Elites, some Grunts and some Flood, you could finish the fight Lego style!
  15. Well I didn't pay for what I got, it was free, but I 'received' some Lego sets. hehe. I used Craigslist and someone had 5 sets of Harry Potter Lego they no longer wanted. I got a huge box and when I got home I found inside Hogwart's Castle, Chamber of Secrets, Hogwart's Express Train, Dumbledore's Office and The Sorting Hat. There were also a bunch of miscellaneous pieces from other sets. A few knights, a barbarian looking guy, some animals sets and some of those large Lego people. The taller, odder looking ones. LOL I'm still putting the sets together, but so far no missing pieces! They all came with boxes and instructions so I'm thrilled! Does Europe have Craigslist and Freecycle as well? I can't see why not, but you never know! Either way, I encourage you guys to bookmark those and keep a lookout for people donating stuff. It's like Goodwill on the internet. They post, you pick it up for free. My first Lego find, but hopefully not my last!
