  1. I saw heaps of those Clone Turbo Tanks at Target at Pacific Fair yesterday, they look great but they're expensive.
  2. I have seen posts here and there about the midnight sales, but I'm not sure exactly when and where each of them are. I live down in Tweed and don't drive, so I'm not too sure about catching a bus up to Robina and back around midnight. If our Tweed Big W is going to have a midnight sale I can easily walk down there, but I'm not sure if they do that, they had a sign in the store saying their sale starts at 6am.
  3. Thanks for the encouraging replies everyone, I'm going to go back up to Myer tomorrow with a print-out of the email from Myer One and prove to them that they're meant to give us a discount. It wasn't just one girl who refused us, it was all of the employees in the toy section who were turning back all the Myer One members, and my friend's mum even had to ring up and argue with the manager before she'd accept that we were entitled to the discount, but we still have to make the big trip up the coast tomorrow to sort it out. What I don't understand is why the employees should care if their store makes less money on a sale, it doesn't come out of their pocket! But they fight to protect their store from us scabs and our discount claims. As for the Galactic Enforcer, there were none at Pacific Fair either, but there were plenty of those Lamborghini police cars and Emerald Night trains. I got a Lunar Limo and there was one Container Heist left.
  4. Hey where abouts in Australia are you? I saw a few SP K-9 Bots today on my trip around the Gold Coast.

  5. My friend and I went to Myer at Pacific Fair on the Gold Coast today. We put the Fire Brigade, Imperial Flagship and Emerald Night on layby, but the ladies there refused to give us a further 10% discount with our MyerOne card. They were refusing other customers who were asking about it as well, so we all only got the regular 20% off even though we all had MyerOne cards. Does anyone know if there's a way we can have them adjust the price on the layby if we went back there tomorrow and maybe asked someone more informed? My friend and I aren't exactly wealthy so any discount we can get is really appreciated, and we were very upset to be turned away for a discount we thought we were entitled to. At least they were nice enough to give us our free LEGO Club membership when we asked (and several other AFOLs were asking too).
  6. It's going to be Halloween in my LEGO City display, so many of these interesting Minifigures will be perfect as costumed Trick or Treaters. I haven't managed to get all the ones I want yet, but I'm very close to completing a set and have a couple of doubles that I'm going to mix and match to make extra characters for my LEGO town (a Zombie with a Caveman head, hair and hands makes a good homeless bum). I'd love to get a few extra Astronauts to populate my LEGO Space display too. I've combined my Mars Mission and Space Police sets and I'm building a few MOC buildings for the Astros and Aliens to hang out in. It's been pretty hard to get them though, each time a shop gets them in they all disappear really fast. I think the people who are buying up whole boxes from retail stores are ruining it for everyone else. Even the people at the toy shop are mean to me when I buy three Minifigs at a time (they're $3.99 each or 3 for $9.99) because they're angry that there won't be any left for the kids. To me these aren't valuable collectibles, they're highly desirable LEGO sets that I can't wait to get home, open and play with. They will all find their home amongst the other Minifigures in my LEGO cities where I can play with them any time.
  7. I put the Space Police Galactic Enforcer on layby the other day at Big W, it's $117 there which was better than anywhere else around here.
  8. I would love to see a new theme like Paradisa, I'd buy anything that's civilian-based and has female Mini-Figs. A new Space theme would be awesome too, I just hope it's not based on any particular planet, because I like to mix my Space LEGO together. Currently my Space Police patrol a colony on Mars, so more aliens and Astros to join them, especially new bases or land-based vehicles would be very welcome. If it's a new Blacktron or Astro theme based on the collectable Mini-Fig I'll be really happy!
  9. Oh no, we're not getting the pig farmer impulse pack? I was looking forward to that one so much! I want some pigs for my LEGO farm, why can't Australians have pigs too? I can't even find the pig farm anywhere, so I was really going to have to rely on the impulse pack to get some pigs.
  10. I really like the character Cammy from Street Fighter, and kinda look a little bit like her too, so I have always called myself Cammy online.
  11. Hey, well that's a little bit better, do any of these coloured cats or dogs come in any current sets or are they rare collectables now? I'd definitely pick up a set if there's a black cat in it.
  12. I've been looking everywhere on the coast for the pig farmer impulse set or pig farm set, but can't find them anywhere. I have a feeling the scalpers grabbed them all up as soon as they came out, or maybe they just aren't coming out in this part of Australia. I have noticed the quality of the collectable MiniFigs is lower than regular LEGO, and many of them have shorter left legs (by about half a milimetre), but I put that up to the cheap Chinese plastic and manufacturing compared to the traditional European LEGO elements. My police dogs have a matte texture on them, with a slightly smoother top like the texture was rubbed smooth a bit. What bugs me is that all the dogs are brown, and all the cats are white, but we have black, white, brown and tan horses. I wish they'd make the cats and dogs in those colours too.
  13. My friend and I are collecting the MiniFigs together, since all our LEGO sets are combined so we can have more fun with a larger City and Space display. We absolutely love the MiniFigs, it's the best idea LEGO has had in years. We really want to make a Halloween display in our LEGO city this year, so all these interesting, assorted characters are going to be perfectly suited, plus I have more nurses for when we get a hospital, cheerleaders for a school or sports field if we make them, and skater dudes for hanging around the streets and the skate park, and divers for the beach where the coast guard patrol. The Astros are awesome too, and they're going to fit in well with our combined Space display. They're all just so rad, but we still need to get the clown, the magician and the tribal hunter. So far together we have: 2x Cheerleaders (my favourites) 2x Nurses 1x Cowboy 1x Zombie 2x Divers 1x Wrestler 2x Forestmen 1x Robot 2x Skaters 2x Crash Test Dummies 2x Ninja 1x Caveman 4x Astros I want to get more cheerleaders and nurses and swap their heads and hair around a bit so I have more assorted girl MiniFigs. It's nice to see that there will be three female MiniFigs in the next pack, but how about four or more for the third series! I swear LEGO Land has a 95% male population and that could be kinda scary for the girls.
  14. Today I bought my biggest LEGO set ever! The LEGO City Police Headquarters, something I've wanted for years and finally found for a reduced price at a K-Mart up the coast. I took the bus up there with my friend just to scour the coast for good LEGO sets that we need, we didn't have very much money to spend but we did well for what we had! The LEGO City Police Headquarters was only $88 (AU), down from $139.99. My friend bought the Space Police Squidman's Pitstop and we both bought a handful of MiniFig packs at Toys R Us, and because we spent over $70 in one purchase we got the exclusive chrome Star Wars Stormtrooper MiniFig. Neither of us collect Star Wars LEGO though, we decided that it was just going to be too expensive to collect and we already have years worth of Star Wars action figures and vehicles filling up the house anyway, so we're not sure what to do with it yet. Maybe we'll add him to the Halloween scene in LEGO City later this year. We also both finally got a Skater dude MiniFig each, and I also got the Zombie and Robot which I've wanted the most since the first two I ever bought and opened were the two I was hoping to get in the first place, the Cheerleader and the Nurse! How's that for luck. We have ended up with a bunch of Astros, which isn't bad at all since we love LEGO Space and want a variety of different Astros for the space station MOC we're building.
