While I do enjoy chrome parts, I also prefer Metallic over chrome. Chrome may be shinier, but it scratches so easily. Especially the ring in LOTR. It isn't so precious now.
Has anyone else found that parts produced in chrome gold/silver tend to lose their luster very quickly? I recently purchased the set Shelob Attacks. In the set, three chrome gold rings are included. After a couple of days, the gold finish on the rings began to wear off. The same thing happened with the bars in the set Isla de la Muerta from the POTC line. Is anybody else a bit annoyed by this?
Sidersdd, I was wondering, could the ring be able to fit two studs in it at the same time? If so, could you take a pic of it? That would be great for SNOT.
I doubt it. The quiver looks to big to fit in the gap, but that would be wicked if it could, considering there were a lot of goblin archers in this scene. It definitely looks like it could fit the sword sheath from POTC, and some armor. Though I don't think goblins ever bore those in the movies.
I'm not really sure I like the Orc hairpiece all that much. That gap is pretty annoying. I mean, sure, it will allow for armor to be placed, but without any armor, it just looks stupid. I wish they'd closed the gap.
I don't really care about the orc without a hairpiece, considering most of the orcs in Isengard are bald. What bothers me is that they cut out an orc from the minifig lineup. I was really hoping for 3.
