  1. I already asked a similar question, but will try it again. Can old RCX light sensor be connected to NXT brick through 8528 converter cable? Also, can light sensor be connected to NXT brick through HiTechnic multiplexer? Thanks, Alex
  2. Rob, I also found this article several days ago, as keep thinking about something similar. Currently it is done on Arduino microcontroller, but I wonder whether it is possible to connect OLED to NXT. Can anyone suggest a solution? Also, wires and boards looks a bit bulky. Is it possible to minimize it sizes?
  3. Burf2000, I will really appreciate if you could check it.
  4. Unfortunately on ebay found only Hitechnic multiplexers which would be cheaper to buy from the original web-site. I need multiplexer for light sensors rather than touch sensors. I saw on bricklink Converter Cables for Mindstorms NXT and wonder whether they could work the other way around. If yes, I could buy RCX to NXT multiplexer and connect it to RCX through this cable.
  5. Thorsten, Thank you for detailed answer. It looks like that amount of work required to connect RC IR to RCX is very big. Probably I will connect RC IR and RCX through NXT. Best regards, Alex
  6. L&G, On mindsensors web-site I accidently found some of their old products such as multiplexers for RCX active and passive sensors. Unfortunately they don't sell them anymore. Does anyone know there it is possible to buy RCX multiplexers (not necessary mindsensors one)? Thanks in advance, Alex
  7. Sorry if this question already been asked, but can't find any answers. I have an oil RCX brick as well as 7938 RC passenger train set. I know that new NXT brick with additional HiTechnic IR sensor can control the RC train, but wonder whether old RCX can do the same job? Thanks in advanced, Alex
  8. Hi JopieK, I think using something like Arduino is too much for me. May be you could give me some advises about RCX and NXT? I am not planning (so far) to make a block system for controlling trains as my trains are RC. dhc6twinotter, I will appreciate if you could make some photos of it.
  9. DLuders, thank you for your help. Four-Track Signal Gantry is probably too fance for me, but the idea is similar. Also thanks for the Train light posts, at least i will use the set to build something similar. dhc6twinotter, actually I want something with RCX to avoid alot of polarity switches. Do you have any particular examples with RXC?
  10. Guys, I am trying to build an electric traffic light for my railway. For that purpose I will use two Electric, Light Brick 1 x 2 with Single Side Light (6035)and one Trans-Green Brick 1 x 2 without Bottom Tube (3065)and one Trans-Red Brick 1 x 2 without Bottom Tube (3065). Does anyone built anything similar? If yes, could you please provide me with some building instructions or advises? Particularly I wonder how to switch lights if want to have only one battery box connected to both lights? I assume they should be connected through a sort of switch. Does anyone aware of that switch p/n? Alternatively, if you could recommend any other ways to construct a traffic light I also will appreciate it. Best regards, Alex
