  1. In all honesty guys, the first series isn't even out in Australia yet, you can wait a bit longer for everything :p I... I just want bloody Pohatu already
  2. You can't fix what was perfect Malum, man. Still love that design. Still love the lava-claws and the build. Have him and some of the Glatorians show up as an anti-Toa crew. Malum as the bruiser, younger Tuma as the leader, Strakk as the lanky axe wielding fellow, and... Whoever for the other three it'd work.
  3. The original series is over, finished. They'll put homages from it into this. The Vahi will undoubtably show up. Heck, old characters from the original might even show up (C'mon Barraki pirates or Malum just showing up for no reason) But a continuation? Unlikely. We know from what Lego's done previously that they want to stay away from those continuity nightmares. So they'll throw homages in, but they're not going back to do anything else with the original series
  4. Or just messing with us :p But yeah, we're gonna see another Vahi in this line
  5. The Barakki Don't even need the same backstory or anything. Just love those designs views like this would have left Whirl as his boring non-existant character rather than his amazing IDW interpretation who, y'know, may have had a huge part to play in the whole war being a thing.
  6. It was made by a massive G1 fan, who threw clips from G1 (War Dawn specifically) in as wartime propaganda. You have quite literately missed out on the best Transformers series since Beast Wars Smaller the pincers, worse the venom. Bigger pincers means they'd use those more, while scorpions with small pincers rely on the venom Does not apply to spiders. While some small ones can be poisonous, on the other end of the scale you've got the Funnelweb
  7. Someone hasn't seen Transformers Animated, aka "Hey, did you want amazing fan related stuff?" the series Now. Unfortunately there is an argument about spiders. This will not do. I will firstly point out that the other spiders and insects in Bionicle have had nowhere near the right number of legs. Heck, Nui-Jaga was the only one that came close (And is also amazing). Nui-Jaga's great. If they remake any old Rahi, it needs to be that guy Now, reap what you have sown, thread: An Arachnid is any creature with the following: A fused cephalothorax, holding the creatures 8 legs, and an abdomen. They also have two chelicerae, which can serve many purposes. For example, in spiders they're those large blunt parts protecting the head, but in scorpions? They're the claws. My favourite arachnid, the Solifuge, has these as a massive pair of "beaks" almost, capable of crushing just about anything they want to feast upon. Also featured are the pedipalps, normally being small, however in solifuge they've grown to massive sizes and almost function as an additional pair of legs, while in the amblypygi, or whip scorpions, they've instead become massive almost mantis like spiked arms for grabbing prey Arachnids consist of the following: spiders, scorpions, mites (And by necessity ticks), solifuge, amblypygi (Whip scorpions), opiliones (Harvestmen), uropygids (Vinergaroons), pseudoscorpions, palpigradi (Micro whipscorpions), schizomida (Short-tailed whipscorpions) and ricinulei (Hooded tickspiders). Closely related, but not arachnids, are eurypterids (Sea scorpions, extinct), horseshoe crabs, and possibly sea spiders Sea spiders are -weird- And that was your Mecheon biology segment for the day. I am bound by ancient law and ritual to provide these facts
  8. HF is basically an evolution of the Bionicle stuff anyway, if it didn't stop when it did, those would have probably been Bionicle parts Plus the old stuff sort of breaks. Oh Krika :(
  9. I'd laugh myself sick if we got an official toy of Lewa corrupted by something though
  10. Or on the other hand it could have as much relation as Transformers G1 and the Transformers Unicron Trilogy have with each other Which is "Very little, except for Primus and Unicron being universal constants" Just because there's a Vahi that's half a mask doesn't necessitate anything from the old series showing up
  11. Its incredibly likely they'll bring him back, given they do like to add additional ones like Rocka or... I forgot the green ninja's name in Ninjago, but him as well.
  12. You've missed the best counter argument though Pointing out that technically Bionicle was Slizer leftovers with another name slapped on it :p
  13. Transformers does something similar, in that its all alternate universes that generally don't touch each other. So you've got rookie Optimus Prime over in the Animated universe, Optimus Prime who tears people's faces off over on the Movie side, and neither of them have anything to do with Generation 1 Optimus Prime. Although sometimes the universes do actually touch and that's when you get stuff like Ravage time-travelling back in time to warn Wheeljack he's going to die in the battle for Autobot City so that time changes, leading the Autobots to have to fight Unicron without Decepticon, so Wheeljack builds a clone body and... Well, Binaltech fiction was odd, and that's before you even get into Alternity, or the time that the ghosts of hundreds of Starscreams made a massive gestalt Starscream entity. Or, heck, Sideways, a character who started as an Autobot ninja and ended up the series more prolific cross-universe traveller James Bond is a code name and its a different agent each time.
  14. Eh, no sweat if you're not feeling them. Just always felt they made good enemies for City because, well, don't really remember the Roboriders having much of a storyline
  15. Love Slizers and love your designs, especially City/Turbo having the alternate robot mode Only problem I see is with Granite and Ice's heads. I did like the larger version of the standard Lego visor they used and keeping their heads one colour tends to lose that effect Any chance of Milenium's big ol' combined mode? Would also suggest trying Roboriders, if only because I used them as City's enemies most of the time :p
  16. Hello, I still exist I don't believe the Architecture sets sell all that well here. Plus Australia misses out on a lot of odd sets, like the Creator Eagle and Green Robot sets from last year, or not receiving the Dinosaur sets until 6 months after the rest of the world It not showing in Australia is just what happens around here
  17. The "Rules" were that, if you had Judge's full 8 point disk, you were the envy of anyone else with Slizers. Oh yeah I have the entire first series of these, and can confirm that the second disk in each set isn't random. Its always going to be from one of the other Slizers. So if you buy all 8, you'll have the first and second disks for everyone
  18. I think the complete list of what we know are those and Hot Shot (Yes, a new mold that looks like the Armada one. JaAm), plus some Legends toys and a mysterious 5 pack of deluxes Things that might appear include Overload, Leo Prime, Dinobot, Scourge, Superion, Bruticus, Vector Prime, and a Starscream who we know nothing about, but who is possibly Arm. Starscream based on the Cheetor-Dinobot and the fact there's a Hot-Shot
  19. It wasn't just his design, he just... I dunno, didn't feel up to scratch Compare him to Stockade, Landmine or Bumblebee, some of the standouts of the Deluxe class, to see what I mean The Undercarriage thing was a big problem this year, I think the only one who really avoided it was Incinerator, and... Well, he's an Osprey, not a plane. Of course, neither of them are as bad as Universe Silverbolt... Oh, and Megatron is... Yeah. His design was not made to transform in the movie, so I commend Hasbro on trying to get a workable toy out of it
  20. A big pity that purple is gone now, because that green plus purple... Well...
  21. The legs are the only real problem with it. The entire upper body is great, but then you get to the legs and... Yeah Surprisingly, as customisers have found out, his legs make awesome arms apparently He's not the worst of the movie line by far though. That belongs to Payload
  22. The fact you managed to find that one on the shelf is an indication of how much it sucked. Cause all the good ones sold out really quickly Also Gobots were awesome for their size class, often having as innovative transformations as the Transformers. Now if it weren't for that whole crummy cartoon show and all...
  23. Actually, that's Oil Slick. Wanna know what's really, really, really hilarious about him? He's a homage to Cy-Kill from Gobots. The line that was the rival of the early Transformers one. I'm going to buy him for that alone Oh, and about the Jizai toys things, while they're nifty in design, aren't exactly the least expensive toys around. As in, they're fracking expensive to produce. And personally, I prefer Classics Tankor above the Jizai one EDIT Just because Transformers fans love doing this stuff... General best thing is to pick up a Superlink Wheeljack, as he is obnoxiously Wheeljack, even moreso than Cyb. Downshift. But the Cyb. Downshift is the better mold, its just that Superlink Wheeljack, or En. Downshift, is a much better representation Other Autobots are Energon Inferno, Cyb. Blurr, En. Arcee, Universe Repungus, Cyb. Metroplex, En. Roadblock, Cyb. Quickmix, Cyb. Breakdown GTS (As Kup), and the greatest named Transformer ever, Movie Big Daddy, who's a repaint of Cyb. Downshift For the Decepticons, you've got a bit less. En. Shockblast is obvious, and you can get a pretty good squad for Soundwave with the red Cyb. Scrapmetal as Rumble, En. Battle Ravage as Ravage, and Movie Booster 10x as Laserbeak. If you don't want to spend a fair ammount on the Soundwave MP3 player, then go for Cyb. Soundwave instead. For Onslaught, two of the Energon combiner limbs make a fairly good Brawl and Vortex, and Cyb. Swindle is, well, Swindle. There's also Cyb. Runamuck or Runabout, what ever his name is. He homages the one opposite to his name though, which is odd
  24. I know that I saw a Dwarf's Mining at a Target here in Victoria as well However, most stores I checked restocked last year's castle, so I think it might be a while still :/
  25. I'm just here to comment on one thing, because I'm an excessive Slizers fan, moreso than Bionicle. Though I liked the original ones, up until the first movie She's an insect thing. Female insects are the horrific masters of their race. Most every ant or bee you see is a female. Why would a female insect-mimic look like a female humanoid?
