  1. Yes Ill take more soon. I parted out the #7905 crane. The Hobby train is sooo much cooler than the RC train engine from the set, so I scraped the green engine from #7898 and made a new one! More building and such to come! The problem is that there is so much track that it wont be anytime soon
  2. Work in progress!! So far Ive got CC, GG, MS in the city. Both RC train sets, train crossing #10128 and Train shed #10027. My MOCs so far include an additional train station platform, control tower, crane and other bits!
  3. Here is the 3 of them together! I think you need the market street too!
  4. Well I finally finished! I bought Market Street at the same time and was blown away when the Green Grocer box dwarfed the MS set. MS is tiny in comparison. I love the interior in Green Grocer and honest now want to retrofit my other buildings. The only complaint is the fire escape is goofy. Looks like they used harpoons for railings...huh? well whatever. That and some of the parts in the fire escape didnt fit very well. Nice addition though. Whish they would have engineered it better though. The whole thing took me 2 evenings to put together
  5. Well mine arrived in a hugh box! I also ordered the Market street set too at the same time and am amazed at the size difference! Pictures of them in my city w. my cafe corner in a few days!
  6. Thanks for the review! Mine arrives from Lego Tuesday! Pictures to go in the link below afterwards!!
  7. Think Ive made 4 orders now with Lego's PAB. All of them have been slow. I made an order then a week later another. I received both on the same day. 3 and 2 weeks later respectively. Ive been waiting for over 10 days now for my last order and have yet to get an email saying it has been shipped
  8. CONFIRMED!!!! Im ordering right now too!!!!! $149.99 I had to call up Lego customer service to place the order as the internet gave me an error. Sales girl said it was the first (phone) order placed and today is the official launch
  9. I found it at Lego.com. Just ran a search for 10185...BUT it is available everywhere EXCEPT the U.S. To find it, just change the region in which you are shopping.
  10. Those are unreal!!
  11. Best - lots out there.. V for vendetta Fandango Chicken Run Pulp Fiction Trainspotting Addams Family Values Bad Santa Lots of cool trilogys..Lotr..ect Worst - Battlefield Earth Dirty Love (NEVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER watch this) Driven Redline The Avengers Anything with Paris Hilton - Pledge This, The Hottie & Nottie
  12. Thanks!! That helps ALOT! I pity my poor RC engines..seems I'll start making all my passenger cars 8x32 instead of their current 6x28.
  13. Hey again...got yet another question I have seen train cars on brickshelf that meaasure 30-40 long..BUT the plates sold by lego are only 28 long max I see some people just combine 2 smaller plates that are NOT train plates. How do others do it though? Remember train plates are thicker and have predrilled holes for the trucks to swivel. There is no way I can come up with a way to make a 30-40 long passenger train car that works too through curves
  14. wait..what? RC trains just came out. Is the info I just read about in the Railbricks newsletter all about this new format? sorry ..its late and Im just a little confused. Didnt RC trains *JUST* come out?
  15. Just read that..right after I posted this! Ill be calling lego tomorrow to get those replacement rubber bands! If that doesnt work the only option I see is to lighten the load or buy another RC motor and battery pack and run 2 engines. My RC remotes only have 3 channels and Im using 2 of them already..so I imagine engine #2 would run on the same frequency
  16. I've completed my RC train layout (yes...picts soon) and am really happy with it. But now that Ive started building my MOC traincars I am finding out that the RC engines can't pull them. When I go to Youtube and see city and train setups, I see the trains pulling 12-15 cars. My RC trains cant pull more than 6!!! Ive also had the displeasure of replacing AA batteries now too. I am thinking about switching my whole set back to the old style 9v, but that means scraping ALOT of track. any thoughts?? yes yes..I know this is a hot topic...and most seem to like the 9v over RC..and HAD I known there were 2 different formats out there before I bought my 2 RC sets I would have never gone RC
  17. LOL!!! Thanks! I think I just spent another $400.- in future MOCs
  18. Thats very cool! Thanks for sharing!
  19. take the big Danish dog and make it a small fluffy dog...and yes...she sees ghosts everynight in the back yard! As of today wife is actually ok with the legos. Mostly because my 2 1/2 yr old just LOVES trains. And she can correctly use the RC remote from these new 2008 sets.... last week was an adventure though...I had a box a day show up holding some new lego surprise
  20. Thanks for the fast replys! After starting this little adventure a few weeks ago with both of the RC train sets and the 9v hobby set I went to Lego's "Pick a Brick". But could not find all I wanted. Then found out there is a Lego part's desk. Got some more....but still missing all I wanted. I have gone to bricklink.com for the rare parts but those little guys were $5.- ea !! :( I've now resorted to buying sets on sale to break up. I feel bad about this actually. Breaking up a set. But the parts came out to $0.07 ea for stuff on brinklink that sell as high as $0.90 ea.
  21. MOC = the stuff I am trying to make....MOD = The kits I am modifying...and PMS = what my wife claims to have now that yet another lego box arrived today.. Seriously now..I've got a few questions about building your own lego designs.. 1 - Where does everyone get their bricks? Yes I know about bricklink!! But are the majority of your bricks coming from? new sets being broken down? lego.com parts desk? bricklink? 2 - My experience so far with bricklink.com is a little mixed. I am finding the parts easy enough...but ordering minimums and expecting them quickly is another issue...at least according to other ppls feedback.. 3 - In some of the more complicated designs are ppl planning them out w/ lego designer? or just winging it?
  22. Stupid question...what does MOC mean??..and minifig?
  23. I am looking for 3 parts! Thanks to Peeron.com I was able to find the numbers! 1 - 2580c01 Black Support 2 x 2 x 5 Lattice Pillar 2 - 4168 OldGray Train Signal Mast 3- 4169 OldGray Train Signal Stand anyone out there know where??
