Eurobricks Clone Wars Building Contest
astoriabluelegos replied to Clonecommando007's topic in Watto's Junkyard
Man, there are so many COOL MOCs I have no chance of winning! But I don't mind, it was a fun contest. I especially like the Battle Of Argoth, that massive crashed ship is SO cool, and Legorev's with the Sub Fighter, and Clone Scuba Trooper is just amazing as well! -

Yeah, mine really isn't all that fantastic, I didn't have the necessary parts to make the Kashyyyk I wanted, but it turned out okay for now. P.S. I like your entry a TON Bly, GREAT work! -
Eurobricks Clone Wars Building Contest

Here it is, my Bignette take on the Battle of Kashyyyk for the contest. Technically it's a WIP since there are no Woshyr trees, or Droid Gunships, and it doesn't EXACTLY resemble the one in the movie, but it's done enough for the contest, for now. So here it is, the Battle Of Kashyyyk: Here's a link to more picures: http://cabg.forumotion.com/clone-army-crea...shyyyk-t913.htm (Note: Because of area size limitations, this was designed to be HALF of the beach from EP III. ) And the VIG catagory: During the battle to re-take Sullust IV a group of Troopers led by an ARC a Recon Trooper encounter and attempt ot destroy a CIS cannon platform: -
I knew the HothBases would be back! I snagged two while I could! I once posted here that a LEGO Rep was tracking what people where wanting, and got ratted out that the Hoth Base would NEVER return, and now here it is, rarely in life do you get second chances...

CONTEST: Design your own Indy Movie! ENTRIES
astoriabluelegos replied to Siegfried's topic in LEGO Licensed
Exactly 4 months after Temple Of Doom. The story: Indiana Jones and Short Round have teamed up with with a British Captain and two of his men to search for one of the lost "magic" Incan Sunstones. Deep in the Jungle the party finds the small shrine and the Golden Sunstone for which it was built. The party soon returns to the river where the boat they hired is waiting. After hours of traveling the jungle river they are almost back to the dock and their truck, but unfortunatly Germans are CRAZY for Gold and a small two-man patrol boat appears out of nowhere to try and stop the group! They made it to the Dock, and their truck with no time to lose! Now to deal with the German Checkpoint and the guard staffing it... The Sunstone will now be admired and apreciated by all, from it's pedastal in the Smithsonian. -
Yeah they fight in the same hangar as Vaders Chibi Tie is stored in, hence the elevator in the floor to throw Stormies down. And I sure hope 3PO can find his right colored hands. I for one can't wait to get my grubby little mitts on this baby! And for those of you who want a minifig scale DS, well I'm working on something along those lines, although not truly minifig scale, it will be big enough to stand in. And it will, like this set, have all the major rooms/scenes from BOTH Death Stars.

LEGO officially calls Troll warriors "Orcs"!
astoriabluelegos posted a topic in LEGO Historic Themes
I was at the official website for the new LEGO Castle series, and there you can watch the commercials for some of the sets in the "Fun Zone", Anyways the title for the Troll Warship commercial is: "Orc Ship", so is this a simple mistake, or something more? Check it out here: http://castle.lego.com/en-us/movies/default.aspx -

A poll to decide a star wars set for february 2009
astoriabluelegos replied to darkrebellion's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I don't even KNOW why number 2 is on there, it's nothing NEW, and therefore it'll probably win... -
Sounds COOL! *sweet* But I don't understand this part^ how can there be no minifig limit if each minifig counts as three pieces? :-/
-
I hope TT isn't leaving, we need a jokester! ;-) The Death Star sets I am HIGHLY anticipating, *y* and I'm still REALLY sad that Exo Force is ending! :-(
-
WOW, I really want this set, I think the Star Justice and Space Skulls will make an excellent addition to my classic space diorama! :-D
-
I got two more, Sticking Nose On Tire and Moldy Old Corn! X-D Personally I thoght MOC stood for Model Or Creation, but My Own Creation makes sense too! ;-)
-
That is a BRILLIANT idea!!! But since it is so cool, it probably won't happen, it seems to work out that way... :-/
-
ALREADY out of production!?! Whoa, yeah I E-mailed them a WHILE back, that's really too bad, but they should still have a few thousand left in stock so I can get some more! In the U.S. all the components are still available, especially through pick-A-brick. This is REALLY a bummer, LEGO had the BEST Train system on EARTH, so what do they do, get rid of it... >:-(
-
I need to point something out here, 9v trains arn't dying TOTALY, in an angry E-mail I sent to LEGO regarding the death of 9volt, they told me that the 9v system will still exist in a Factory setting, in other words, they arn't going to produce new SETS, but the components will probably still be available through LEGO Factory. This new system, like the other battery trains, will give us LEGO-designed trains that run on batteries, but there's really no indication that 9v components are just going to be dropped, especially with the popularity of LEGO Factory. ;-)

Dwarves Mine makes an encoure performance!
astoriabluelegos replied to astoriabluelegos's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Natelight, cool it man! The "computer database" isn't a silly idea,or naive hope, in fact it's NOT AN IDEA AT ALL! IT ACTUALLY EXISTS, LEGO has a database where they record info about what people call about, INCLUDING DISCONTINUED SETS! I actually TALKED to a LEGO REP, who confirmed all this, so you can keep calling us "kiddish", or "naive", or whatever, but I ACTUALLY TALKED TO SOMEONE WHO HAD THE AUTHORITY TO CONFIRM THIS! >:-( -

astoriabluelegos replied to astoriabluelegos's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I don't mean to sound racist, there's nothing wrong with being Indian, nice people a lot of them, I was just stating that they sounded Indian because of the accent, that's not recist. :-| And they don't HAVE to go through all that corporate latter jargon, they just enter what sets people are talking about into a computer database, so then the head boss or whoever looks at the database, and says "Looks like a lot of people have bee calling abot the Dwarves Mine, so much in fact that it warrants a re-release, we'll just raise the price $10.00 to further cover costs, and everyone's happy." ;-) By the way, the way you keep shooting this down it sounds like you don't WANT the Hoth Base back! 8-? -
Lego's proceses are so precise, and so secret, that I don't think ANY of the clone brands come EVEN close. I have NEVER heard of a Mega Blocks fan, and the only people I ever see buying them is gullible young children who don't KNOW any better, not to mention Mega Blocks are ALWAYS on clearance because they DON'T SELL at normal market value very much, especially compared to Lego. So considering all this they should eventually just die, and then problem solved... ;-)

Okay I guess I should clarify, Don't call the standard Shop At Home, *n* Call CUSTOMER SERVICE *y* They are located in the U.S. (At least MINE is anyway) and they do seem to have WAY more contacts and capabilities than the Indians (I'm presuming because of ther accents) that you get when you call normal SAH. The REP I talked to was a Customer Service REP. (Which I should have mentioned before) She's the one who gave me the info about them monitoring what sets are most called-about. Sorry about not being clear and sounding kiddish in the earlier post! ;-)
