Actually, Aslan sacrificed his life for Edmund, not for nothing. That is a dirrect alegory of Jesus sacrificing for all of us, so I would say that the two things are very simalar, if not alike. I don't agree with you because the notion itself of sacrifice implies loosing something knowingly !!! Like I said previously, Aslan looses his life only for a couple of minutes, but did not sacrifice anything knowing that he will be brought back to life !! I would have agreed with you if Aslan came back as a spirit and not as his self ;) *yoda*

if i'm not mistaken,jesus did that as well.... he also knew he wouldn't die by the hands of the romans; he would come back as well... But he willingly gave his life !! I don't know what he knew, but he did die by the spear of a Roman. On the other hand, Aslan gave nothing ;) He accepted to die knowing he would come back as the same Aslan (flesh & blood), and not as a symbol or what have you !!! *yoda*

No. The Chronicles of Narnia is an allegory on the life and death of Jesus - I agree. With one major difference: Aslan did not sacrifice his life for one second because he Knew that he would come back to life, since he was not the proper person to be sacrificed !!! So it was an act of superior intelligence, rather than an act of pure sarifice ;) But I digress.... Oh boy I loved this movie !!!!! The little girl was sooooo cute and they all acted pretty well for kids. The beasts are so well done, I love the white witch, the score goes perfectly with the action !!!!! Ahhh precious n
