Thanks. I think I will go over my budget and get classic space sets, and 7066 Earth Defense HQ. Are there any major building tips or techniques I should know? I plan to build some star fighters, a moon base, and maybe even a SHIP later on.

I just started LEGO again and i have a fascination for classic space. I own a 40 dollar gift card for amazon.com I was wondering if i should get some small alien conquest sets to build my collection, like 3 7050 Alien Defenders. I was also thinking of getting a space police III set, like 5971 gold heist. Finally, I also found some classic set on amazon for cheap, like the LEGO Exploriens 6854 Alien Fossilizer and the Lego blacktron Sub Orbital Guardian. I was also thinking about getting some small UFO sets. What should I buy? Also, do you have any building techniques I could use in a space moc? I am just out of my dark ages, so I'm a beginner.
