  1. Amazing! Now all we need is a zombie Mary and a set of LEGO vinyls to finish it off :)
  2. I love the detail on this (even if the minifigs look kind of strange). £120 seems a little steep but my inner 10-year old is going nuts over the Lego/Simpsons combo :)
  3. That would be really interesting, and awesome too, since it seems to be a staple of all homebrew rules that the monsters and bosses have hit points. My guess is this may be the only set released this year not to clash with LotR and the Hobbit, which are thematically similar. Instead, I expect 2013 to be the time for the rest of the sets. I'm still curious as to how and when they will release Ganrash...
  4. A vampire boss is going to be pretty awesome. I'm thinking that he can turn into the giant bat, maybe?
  5. This is going to be a fun month! I'm glad that the series is getting more attention. Bring on the Architecture!
  6. Thanks for the review :D I'm looking forward to this new set - I'm building myself up in the Architecture series (always buy the least expensive model before moving on to the next). This will make got a nice addition to my shelf :)
  7. is looking forward to the 2012 Heroica sets!

  8. This is awesome! I especially like the Anubis statues you've made. This is an excellent MOC set - I'd love to see more Egyptian themed boards! What would you use as the Legendary Weapon for this board? Staff of Ra?
  9. Nice! I'm looking forward to seeing this on release... has it been confirmed that it'll be roughly 40 EUR to buy?
  10. That's a pretty in depth analysis of the box, especially considering the screenshot isn't that clear. New characters will be awesome, and I'm intrigued by the prospect of having different outcomes on a die roll. Bring on Ilrion!
  11. Just saw the build instructions. Huzzah! I've rigged up a LDD version of the set, am I able to post it ? (since its not yet released I'm unsure) Ilrion looks pretty sweet too, I wonder what the new heroes are?
  12. I can't seem to find that n the Lego instructions site, and when you put in a search fthe set no. it comes up as minifigure aviator goggles ..
  13. Welcome aboard, ye scurvy scallywag!
  14. Thanks for the warm welcome everyone! Looking forward to discussing all things brickie with you all!
  15. I got the Sears Tower under the Willis Tower name (luckily they only changed the name and not the model). I'm in the same boat as you, Banjo; Architecture is the one series I can get away with attempting to complete the collection (though I think purchasing Robie House will take some explaining to the missis!) I also noticed that the White House is sporadically available on the official sites - and the last few times I've popped into my local LEGO store they've been out of stock. Could the same thing be happening to this set, or are both of them more or less 'limited edition' pieces? As far as I'm aware, the John Hancock Center never had a UK release. All of the box images I've seen have been the US variety (the one that states the no. of pieces on the box front).
  16. That's a shame. I wonder why? The only thing I can think of is that it looks very similar to the Willis Tower ....
  17. Very nice I'd go for any of the sets on that flickr page. My only hope is that there are more sets that are outside the US too.
  18. I think the Sydney opera house would make a fine model in the range, though I suspect it would need to be in the upper price range to get the size we'd want. Based on the current votes on the Architecture website, looks like the next set may be Habitat 67, which would be impressive as a model. What I'd really love to see is a sub theme of "ancient architecture" featuring a landmark from each f the great ancient cultures: Egypt - Karnak, first pylon (lets face it, iconic as the pyramids are, it would make for a sucky model. Unless you did all three pyramids and the nearby workers village as a single complex) or Philae temple Edit: thanks to spencer_R, just noticed this rendition of Philae temple. I think this could work as a series! Greece - parthenon Rome - colosseum ( I like the idea of having instructions for an 'as it is now' and a reconstructed version) Also maybe a Mesopotamian, meso-American and Oriental landmark model (my ancient history knowledge doesn't go that far, so feel free to enlighten me as to what ancient monuments would be suitable) As a fan of architecture and ancient hitstory, I think it would be appropriate to have models that show how we gained the knowledge of architecture. I'd buy these in a second.
  19. I've been trying to get my hands on the John Hancock Center in the Architecture Range (#21001) but I can't seem to find it anywhere in the UK. It's not in any of the LEGO stores I visit, and it doesn't seem to be on the UK or US LEGO store online. It's not even on the official Architecture website! Has this model been discontinued? Why isn't it as widely available as the other models in the range?
  20. Hi everyone, long time reader, first time poster. I'm a grown-up LEGO affectionado who just couldn't kick the habit. Currently building/collecting the Architecture and Heroica series. Looking forward to joining in the conversations!
