Just wanted to say that I am happy to have joined your community here, let you know how I found it, who I am, and why I decided to join.
First and foremost it was Derfel Cadarn and his wonderful work on the medieval village that brought me here. Have practically memorized his write up and have since been fascinated by so many others works on here.
A bit about myself, I run a small video game studio out of Vermont (in the states) and have been a passionate lego collector from a very very young age (mostly vintage space themed sets). Beyond that our studio has been dabbling in stop motion work to introduce our next project as we develop the engine for the game itself. If anyone has any interest you can check out our current game project on facebook, can't post links just yet so just type in "jiblifegame" and you will find our page.
As stated above, Derfel was a big proponent, along with other members, in why I decided to join. More importantly though, I am looking to learn from the members and experts here about some techniques you use to create everything from a small scene, all the way up to a full scale environment. I also hope to challenge many here with new ideas and techniques to see if we can't all have some fun and learn from one another. We will also be providing all the techniques we are using in our stop motion work, many of which originated from works we saw here and grew from stand still into fully animated visuals.
Thank you for letting me join, and I hope to learn as much as possible at the same time educate to the best of my ability on personal techniques I am using.
Cheers,
Enlighter
