  1. Nice Tank! I think it's more like model team with pf.
  2. I think so too. The prices are too high at this time. I want to buy a 8258 for christmas and prefer the new one from amazon, because the prices for a used one are as much as the new one costs. Maybe the prices will fall in new year, but the 8258 is out of production and i fear that the prices could reach the level of the 8421, so i will buy one this year. Or do you think the price of the 8258 will stay stable the next months? To stay on topic: i think 300,- is okay for both new.
  3. That is crazy! But what is the problem with a 2nd hand set that was only build up one time and then stands on shelf? Would you let the new sets sealed and store for your grandson? ;-) Some things i only buy new too, but pay more than the double retail price for a lego set, if i can have a almost new for the half? Hmm... that only makes sense if you want to let them sealed and never build it up like an financial investment... Just my opinion...
  4. Hi! I think that's too much money for this sets... You can get a almost new 8421 for ~100-150€ on e**y. 8436 go's out there for round about 50-100€. Most of them come with original box.
  5. Hi! Today i went to the market in my hometown after work, but the 8053 set was already sold. I think they hadn't got many of them in store. The next market is about 30 km away, so i think it's not worth to go there for this set. Considering about the 8258 is running out of production, i will buy one when my christmas money is on my bank account. The 8258 looks more interesting to me, because i don't really like these fully RC things like the 8043. Lego must be something to play with my hands on it for me. And i always liked wheel-based vehicles more than ones with tracks. However, the 8043 with it's lots of motors and gearings is also a good choice... but my girlfriend will kill me if i spend so much money for Lego in a short time! So the 8043 must wait a little bit. Thank's for your help! btw: this forum is great!
  6. Hello technic-fans! This is my first posting on eurobricks. I hope my english is not to bad, because i am from germany and i don't often use english. First i will tell something about me. My name is Markus, i'm 26 years old and i came back to lego technic a week ago with the amazing unimog u400. Now here's my first question. To build up the unimog was so much fun and i consider to buy another technic set. Since yesterday there's a special offer at "penny market" for the 8053. It only cost 49,99 € against 70 € @ amazon. So i think it would be a good deal, but there are very different opinions about the 8053 in this forum. I have the old 8460 pneumatic crane and i mean the 8053 would look nice beside this on the shelf. So what do you think? Should i buy the 8053 for that low price, even for the parts? Or should i save the money an invest in a bigger set like 8043 or 8258 next year? Thank you and i hope you could understand my english. ;-) Greets Markus
