Hello everybody,
As students at EMLYON Business School (France), we've been working on a project about open innovation at LEGO for some weeks now. We started off by studying open innovation processes at LEGO in a theoretical way, linking it with some well-known articles about open innovation in general (Von Hippel, Chesbrough for instance) in order to understand why and how LEGO decided to turn to open innovation to get rid of the crisis it had been going through during the early noughties. Such a preliminary study allowed us to find a main question we'll try to answer. How has LEGO's call upon user communities' skills been a key factor to its own innovation and success?
Our purpose now is to do a real field study by asking LEGO fans the way they play a part in open innovation at LEGO, the feeling they may have about LEGO. That's why we elaborated a kind of poll/questionnaire that we'd like you to fill in in order to have kind of quantitative data.
Meanwhile, we’d like to have qualitative ones. We decided thereby to call upon both your knowledge and involvement in LEGO’s innovation to have an external, acute and concrete point of view.

We don't really know how to contact you, therefore since it is the "Hello! My name is..." part of the board, we thought it was the appropriate place to contact you all in order to present ourselves.
