  1. What format ould you like me to post the files in? iBook2 or PDF? Also, the only way to share the files would be via Dropbox, so I will need your e-mail address to send an invitation.
  2. Hey guys! I will post pictures of my Clone Wars Army collection in a bit but, for now, allow me to share with you the following. I noticed that a few of you use Star Wars minis and vehicles in table top wargaming and assume you are using Brikwars rules set for it (Brikwars Website). I, for one do so and am in the process of compiling several unofficial Star Wars-based army expansions for the system. If there is interest, I will be happy to share the books with you and figure out a way to post them online. The expansions are absolutely free and all copyrighted materials contained within them are properties of their respective owners. I will also be very happy to see contributions to these unofficial expansions, if some of you have adopted any of the Star Wars lore for use in Brikwars. My expansions are written based on the in-progress Brikwars 2010 Rule Set. Please note that the expansions are in iBook2 format, so if you do not own an iPad, I can convert them into slightly less neat-looking PDF files which will lack any interactive features of the iBook2 format. Three example pages are below. Let me know what you think! Cheers, ~ Gene R.
  3. Ramses, the Golden Champion of Duat will answer the call of glorious combat!
  4. Trusted Allies, Today we reveal one of the most closely guarded secrets of the Ever-Living Tomb Kings. We speak, of course, of The Dreamer. The Dreamer represents one of the Four Sacred Keys of Immortality. Trapped in an eternal nightmare, the Dreamer's suffering manifests as an ancient, somnambular creature known as Palimpsest. Silently looming behind the never-waking hero, it fiercely defends the one that is the very source of its existence. On its back rests the Great Burden, which represents the heavy price one must pay for immortality, such as it is among the Tomb Kings. While the Dreamer and Palimpsest are present on the battlefield, our Tomb Warriors are truly eternal, as many of them will be granted a chance to feint Final Destruction and be reformed anew if they are slain. And so you have learned one of the great secrets of the Tomb Kings. May you remember it forever and utter it to no one. ~ Jahi Khaldun Ibn Maibe
  5. First and foremost, thank you for accepting my contribution to our world! Secondly, I was not asking for a large mark or a big name on the map. Just a symbol of Pyramids in the upper-right section of the delta (in the clear space) will suffice! I just want to establish with certainty that it is the land of the Tomb Kings. If you can fit the name of te city, so much the better. If not - I won't cry about it!
  6. Would you please add Akhenaten, the ancient necropolis of the Tomb Kings in the delta of the unnamed river? Much obliged!
  7. Greetings, honored members of the Kaliphlin Guild! On this auspicious day, we have the following to report. It has been decreed that a Giant Asp Venom Gathering Shrine was to be erected, and so it has been done. Our weapons will now bear a deadly surprise for our enemies! It has also been told to us that the Sagacious Priest of Wajut has been busy making new friends. For one, he tamed a pair of Venomous Asps to be his familiars and battle cohort. For another, he devised another spell of Great Summoning. He is now able to raise a host of Lesser Dune Ginn as his personal guard. That is all we have to report for now. May you live in interesting times, ~ Jahi Khaldun Ibn Maibe
  8. The Keeper of Secrets The Keeper of Secrets is an embodiment (often referred to as a Living Effigy) of a Lesser God, Amun Thoth. As well as being a vicious warrior, Keeper of Secrets is also capable of weaving powerful spells of misdirection and mystification. It invades the thoughts of its enemies, sending them visions of glory, titillating their egos, and caressing their inner desires to lead them astray. It seeks to give and receive sensation in all forms, be it pain or pleasure. It is also capable of shrouding itself in a cloud of arcane mist which confuses surrounding enemies, allowing the Lesser God to prey on them easily. The Keeper of Secret lives to feed from others emotions, especially fear, hope, despair. It loves the sensation of cutting through flesh and piercing minds, bestowing the feeling of pain onto its enemies. As well as striking amazingly fast with its six clawed limbs, it also causes Corruption, as it turns emotions such as courage, bravery and valour into selfishness, cowardice and despair. As it is with most avatars of the Lesser Gods, the Keeper of Secrets demands sacrifice. It is particularly fond of exceptionally self-absorbed, self-serving, and exceedingly driven souls. As such, the Drow are one of its particularly favored tributes.
  9. It Comes... The Keeper of Secrets
  10. From the southern delta of the desert river, yet to be named by the cartographers of the realm, comes the great Jahi Khaldun Ibn Maibe and his army of Tomb Warriors, ready to pledge their loyalty to the Kaliphin Guild. The Eternal King and his Queen, guarded by the Tomb Scorpion. The Anubis Temple Guards (Elite Warriors). Living Effigy of the Great Jackal God. The Enormous Scarabs. Plague-wrought Tomb Binders. Ramses, Golden Champion of Duat and his Tomb Warriors; the Priest of Wadjut. Camel Riders (Cavalry), the Ra (Flying Infantry). Group shot of the entire army. Note the Great Summoned Asp.
  11. Yes, yes and yes. I am a bit disappointed that this got moved to the "Action" theme. Sure, the pieces are derived from those sets, but the Tomb King army was conceived as a part of the new Guild thread on Historic Themes and, also, with the complete disregard for the 50ies pulp. :) Moderator(s): Could you please move the theme back into Hostorical themes? Way too many. I'd be happy to trade them off for something, well, not Jack Raine Why thank you! If I ever find another player in the Providence, RI, USA area, I'll be sure to take some pictures and write up some battle reports!
  12. I thought the official name of the store was "Run A Fowl"...
  13. Edit: Post removed in the only manner I could figure out. Re-posted in a proper Guild section in Historic Themes. Thanksto everyone who helped me figure this out.
  14. Hello there! I would like to sign up for the Southern Deserts with a Tomb Kings / Mummies / Egyptian / Desert / Undead flavored army.
  15. Hello! I think I can part with my Crownies (whom I love but have very few of. I already have too many themed armies to keep up with. ). I only have the minifies featured in the Medieval Wilage Market and Troll Mountain Fortress. This includes a horse blanket (or a full horse, if you can trade for a skeletal one ), a couple of knights, some footmen, and a King. What exactly do you have in trade?
  16. Fenimor Vish pensively scratched his right eyeball and decided to wait a little longer before making his move. Quite literally, he stands motionless, pondering whether the woman who desired to be called "Sorrow" is aware of the fact that subtlety is not her greatest asset.
  17. The pescetine Barbarian takes his time to rotate and arrange various segments of his body to properly face Nerwen and, then, speaks to her in a voice reminiscent of a bucket of rusty nails scratching a pane of stained glass, as it is the only way to correctly express oneself in "Koshmar", the blood-curdling tongue of the horrible Cho-Cho people: Fenimor Vish digs within his travelling sack and pulls out two small, conical bottles, filled with green, viscous liquid. He shows them to Nerwen and waits for her to complete the ritual of found object display.
  18. Fenimor Vish ambles up to Portia's Potion Shack. There he purchases two Potions of Healing to better prepare him for the road ahead.
  19. Fenimor Vish was delighted to see the well-cushioned woman put an unreasonable amount of effort in making her mundane act of selection into a small spectacle of the Arcane. He dutifully stretched his face into a gummy, toothy expression some might refer to as a "smile", and quickly performed the Lambada of Initial Approval, which expressed his mood in exactly 8 ways, as was customary in polite and educated circles. In the interest of time he opted to skipp a few steps and was hoping that nobody noticed.
  20. Diminutive Giants of Itzibitzi have a bit of ancient wisdom they like to pass out among themselves as a kind of an impromptu party favor. This wisdom proclaims that "It takes but a short outburst of Quadrille to catch the undivided attention of a Sargassan". In fact, most tribes and cultures of Eubrick which have ever come in contact with the pescetine, carry away a curiously unanimous belief that the Sargassen are uncontrollably drawn to spastic gestures and brightly colored objects. This, however, is cardinally untrue. In reality, the attention span of the Sragassen is hardly different from those of any other being, save perhaps, for the Shivering Skliss which earned their name due to the fact that they exists in a state of perpetually escalating anticipation. In fact, the complex and completely unnecessary system of Sargassen religious beliefs outright forbids them to appear flighty or easily distracted during the better half of the traditional Eubrick calendar year. Moreover, for reasons unknown and wildly debated by the scholars of the realm, the Sargassen have never bothered to invent words with which to represent the many colors of the visible spectrum, thus rendering themselves colorblind. That was probably the reason behind the fact that it took Nerwen a better part of the hour to finally persuade Fenimor to point both of his eyes in her general direction. It is then that the gummy Barbarian finally responded to the green-clad Cleric. Overjoyed as Nerwen might have been to finally break the language barrier, she stopped quite a long shot away from a triumphant internal celebration, as she recognized that the language her barbaric companion have chosen to express himself through was, in fact, that of the horrible Cho-Cho people and, as such contained as many conjunctive snarks as it did prepositions (of which there were plenty). [ooc] What follows is meant for the eyes of Nerwen and all those who might be unfortunately versed in the native tongue of the horrible Cho-Cho people. [/ooc]
  21. Thank you! The flags are truly awesome. I was wondering what did you end up printing them on and with, as they seem to be cloth.
  22. Done and done. Sorry about the confusion.
  23. With all of the guild / army / lore /etc. building going about, I was wondering if yiou guys would be interested in a bit of Minifig Exchange. To explain, I have a bunch of Red/White Lion and Blue/Crown Knights, including the King and some horse blankets, which I know I am not going to use. I would not mind trading them with someone who might not be interested in but has an excess of another type of minifig knights / factions and would like to trade. I would gladly exchange either of my knights for equivalent Green Dragon (Kingdoms) Knights, Orcs, Islanders from the "Pirates of the Caribbean" sets or the following collectible mini figs: Werewolf, Dinosaur Costume Guy, Ape Costume Guy. If this sounds like a good idea to you, please post what you might have for swap / trade and, perhaps we can all end up with stuff we like and are looking for! I will re-post my "Wanted" list at the end of this message and will post the exact count of what I ahve for trade later in the day. Wanted In order of Preference: 1. Green Dragon Knights/Wizards/etc. from "Kingdoms" sets (with helmet/hat. Weapons/shields optional) 2. Mummies from any of the existing sets. 3. Brown-skinned islanders from the "Pirates of the Caribbean" sets. 4. Lizardman Costume guy from the Collectible MInifigs (Series 5, I think) line. 5. Gorilla Suit Guy form the COllectible Minifigs (series 4, I think) line. 6. Werewolf Guy form the Collectible Minifigs (series 3 or is it series 4?) line. 7. Skeletal Horses 8. Zombie heads. Just the heads, thank you. :D
  24. Your dragon flag is amazing! Would you mind sharing how you have made it or where you might have bought it from?
  25. Having spent the exact amount of time it takes a well-mannered Sargassan to express sincerity via focused contemplation of one's unusually-shaped lobes, Fenimor Vish gathers himself and wills his feet in the general direction of one Nerwen Calmacacil. Once he is within distance sufficient for prodding, poking and enthusiastic hand-shaking, he meets the woman's gaze. Flaring his gummy nostrils in an expression of an auspicious greeting, he hands the green-clad Cleric a piece of prepared parchment. It is folded into a square no larger then an inch in diameter, suggesting a previous investment of an exorbitant amount fo time which culminated in mastery of the traditional art of Ogregummi*. Unfolded, it reads thus: Ogregummi - [oh gree `gah mee], n. - One of the more obscure and unconventional Martial Arts, still accidentally practiced around the lesser known nooks and crannies of the Ennon Kingdom. Rumored to have been originally created as an answer to a particularly irritating Orcish Horde invasion of the Imperial City of Qualm, this martial discipline commonly involves sudden positioning, bending and arrangement of the notoriously slow and stiff-jointed green-skins in a manner that is both incapacitating and aesthetically pleasing. It's iconic and most visually unsettling form, "The Folded Foul", involves a significant reduction of an opponent's overall size, as well as the foe's consequent arrangement into a form closely resembling that of a majestic Draidan Whooping Crane.
