  1. Hi folks You may remember me from day gone by.....I used to publish a comic called 'Farmer Wilf', unfortunately a few years ago I got sick and was eventually dignosed with leukaemia, it's been a long hard slog but things are starting to get back to normal (well as normal as they can be now). I've been writing for most of the time I've been gone so I've got plenty to start publishing.,,...the first new series Parker and Barrow began today. You can find it in the following places Facebook - www.facebook.com/parkerandbarrowcomic Instagram and twitter - #parkerandbarrowcomic Website - www.brickstories.co.uk I hope you enjoy it......it's great to be back!!!!
  2. I love to make comics. I always try to use sets in my comics rather than mocs as part of the fun of comic creation for me is looking at the sets that are going to come out in the future and then try to craft a comic around it. You can find my comics at http://www.brickstories.co.uk
  3. Hi folks Some of you may remember the comic I created in 2011 and ran through to the end of 2012. I sort of disappeared off the face of the earth in 2013 as I suddenly became ill. I spent most of 2013 getting sicker and sicker without any diagnosis. I was finally admitted to hospital in October with what they discovered was a rare form of leukaemia. I have now had my chemotherapy and am on the road to recovery and so I now have energy for lego and comics again 'The Wonderful life of Farmer Wilf' has now been rebooted and episodes will publish on Mondays and Thursday's at http://www.brickstories.co.uk It's great to be back and I hope you guys enjoy the comic.
  4. Mines of Moria is great for minifigs but is a poor playset. I'd go for the AT-TE if I were you. It's a good build with great minifigs.
  5. Hi I'd really like to join the reviewers academy. I have a Fuji bridge camera and a pile of sets I'd like to review. I'd like some help on making my reviews worthwhile and relevant.
  6. Hi folks I've been thinking about starting to review some lego but I've got a few questions that are bugging me. It would seem to be hard to become a reviewer in the UK as sets always seem to come out months earlier in the US, once you've read one review do you read others too. There are lots of people already reviewing and whilst I don't want to compete with them I think that once a set has been available for months would people still look up multiple reviews The second thought I'm struggling with is video or printed review. I love writing and so I would favour that but do most people not just watch YouTube videos now. I'd love to hear any thoughts or ideas you guys have.
  7. The First episode of my Christmas special comic is now available from www.brickstories.co.uk. A new episode will be released daily so you won't have to wait long.... Hope you guys enjoy the story
  8. Hi. My Farmer Wilf webcomic is progressing nicely, I'm up to episode 16 already. I'm hoping to make a Christmas special issue in time for Christmas, it'll be released as a pdf download, an actual comic that you guys can print off and read. For more details on the announcement check out http://www.brickstories.co.uk
  9. @darkdragon. Sorry about the link not working I've Benin caught up in issues affecting blogger. They appear to be fixed now but I can't put them all back to normal until I return from holiday next week. Glad you like it though. The next episode will be on Friday.
  10. The first issue of my webcomic is now available at http://www.brickstories.co.uk or http://www.wilfsworld.co.uk. Hope you enjoy it.
  11. Hi. Can anyone tell me if the Lego Olympic stadium is still on display in London and if so where I could see it. Myself and my wife will be in London in 2 weeks time and having donated a couple of figures at the Lego show back in May we would like to see it full and to see if we can spot our figs.
  12. Hi Guys. My new webcomic launches soon. It'll be released Tuesdays and Fridays every week. Hope you guys enjoy it.............
  13. Hi I've been keeping my minifigs in individual little baggies but as I'm starting to make webcomics I seem to spend all my time disassembling minifigs and then trying to remember which head goes with which body and accessories so I can return them to the correct baggy. It's all getting a bit stressful. I've got around 500 minifigs now and I'm looking for the best way to store them. Does anyone have any great storage tips and/or suggestions.
  14. Hi I think this is a great idea. I'd definitely be up for this. I live in Fife so it's not too much hassle to get into Edinburgh.
