Ahhh thanks for the help sorting that confusion . Let me know what you guys think of it.

Oook, inserting image doesn't seem to work either, linking to my flickr account and getting the response "You are not allowed to use that image extension on this board." I've edited the first post with a link to the flickr page.

I tried, kept coming up with an error, so I made the mocpages account

Hey guys, just thought I would share this MOC with you all. I love diesel electrics, especially the american styled cargo locomotives, so when the Maersk came around the kid in me came out and I splurged and bought three sets. However, while I love the GP40 styled locomotive I wanted a GE AC6000, I never did MOCs when I was younger, I liked to keep the models as is, but decided I would convert one of the three Maersk locomotives I had, its not perfect, but here it is. The idea behind this was to use as many parts from the original Maersk locomotive as possible, due to the fact that I'm in medical school I don't have time to go through the massive bins of Lego that I have. Please feel free to critique (any suggestions on how to fix the headlights while allowing for LEDs would be great lol). I plan on refining it over the holidays such as the headlights (so that they're one on top of the other) and the fuel tank. Link: GE AC6000

Help w/ Building a Jacob's Bogie
Loggii replied to Spike the train builder's topic in LEGO Train Tech
Ahhh, it looks great, would love to see the instructions if possible. I'm trying reduce the amount of wheels on the container cars so I can have some spare parts to build extra rolling stock, tried building one myself but it didn't work out too well after a few tries lol. -

Hey Snapshot, does that design work with the baseplates that the Maersk train rolling stock uses? -
What Daedalus said sounds about right, I have the same issue with my Maersk train from time to time. Initially I thought it was a defective magnet but, realized just flicking the coupler a few times with my finger realigns it easily without having to pick up and rotate the car as some of the previous posters described.

The Maersk train also got me back into Lego trains after a few years away from it, now I have three I converted one locomotive to a GE AC6000 though. Also got the EN and I love it for its complexity but I love diesel electrics more. Definitely think you should move it up in priority, its a great set and might not be around as long. Although, I'm a bit surprised they have two cargo trains out at the same time, so who knows...

Very nice pictorial review, loved seeing the different angles of this set great set (I want that blue rail car chassis ). Would definitely be nice to see an update of this for the newer standard 6 wide containers, would pick it up in a heartbeat to complement the Maersk trains in my little collection.

Barman's Lego Power Functions-Controlled Train Switch

I gave up on the container crane I was working on after seeing this. Very impressive! Hopefully there will be some instructions for it sometime in the future? When I get sometime I'll try and do something similar, at least in terms of looks. -
Very, very nice plans you have here, wish I had the money and space to do something like this myself. Looking forward to seeing your layout and seeing you run the Maersk train with all those container cars.

Hey guys! New member, long time reader and fan of Lego from when I was about 5, I still remember my first set. Anyways, after a few years break from Lego I found myself back into it once I stumbled upon the Maersk Train. I've always loved Lego trains with my first being the 4559 which I found in my aunt's storeroom, sadly three quarters of the parts were missing. My first complete train was the railway express, 4561 (can't find it), the metroliner with club car soon followed and then the last train I got before my 'break' was the 4512. Now, in the span of a few months after getting back into Lego in about August with my first Maersk train, I now have an additional two, one of which I converted into a GE AC6000 (I'll make a post with some pics when I find some time, buried in Medical school work), and an Emerald Night set. Hoping to get the yellow and red cargo trains soon, duty to bring anything down to Jamaica is ridiculous though.

]ust got back into trains again after a few years away from Lego but I currently own 4, with the 3677 and 7939 coming, hopefully, in the near future. This is what I have: Maersk train x3 (What got me back into lego trains) Emerald Night Cargo train (4512) Lego Metroliner with club car[/font]
