12vretrofan

Hello all! It is 12vretrofan again. I am just wondering how people balance Lego trains and life? How do you have time to set-up and have fun with your trains while balancing family, a job, a band, and many other things?

I always loved the 12v motors with the siderods. Does anybody if those motors can be re-wired to run on 9v or PF components?

Hello everyone, my name is 12vretrofan and I am sorry I did not introduce myself sooner. This is a new forum to me and I am getting used to the logistics. With that done, now let me introduce myself. I was always really into trains when I was a kid. I had a large collection of HO trains when I was younger, as well as a large collection of Lego. I would always see the catalogs that had the Metroliner and others. Those catalogs always wanted to make me get a Lego train. I really got into Lego trains when I was in third grade, when I saw the Lego S@H catalog. That year for Christmas I got the 4552 as well as the 4559. Pretty soon after that, I began getting most of the Lego train line that came out in the preceding years, such as the 4557, 4560, 4565, 4556, 4532, and others. I fell out of favor with Lego trains after the My Own Train Series, due to the fact that I was getting into other interests. The Emerald Night brought me out of my dark ages, and I began to rebuild and augment my previous collection. I have gotten into building Lego Steam MOCS. I am looking forward to being a productive member of the community!

Does anybody know the safety of Enlighten trains? Before anybody gets mad at me, I am not thinking about buying one. I have just seen a lot of talk about them and I wondered if the chemicals used in the plastic, dye, or paint are safe to have especially around young children. I am sorry if I posted this entry in the wrong section. I am new to the forum and I am still getting acquainted with the logistics of the forum. Any help anybody can give me would be appreciated. Hello, I am 12v retrofan and I was just trying to gather data on the Enlighten trains. How is there quality compared to lego? Does anybody know if the plastic is safe to have in the home? I know the company may not have to abide by regulations, which makes me worry about what chemicals they use. Thanks!

Hello, all, I am 12vretrofan and I am new to the forum. I have recently gotten back into lego trains. I was just wondering if anybody has a train layout where they have every train they own on the layout? If not, how do you store them safely? Thanks all!
