  1. Thank you. I saw Space Battleship Yamato a long time ago and can't remember almost anything. I don't even remember which version I watched. I know I liked design of destroyers there. Anyway. When I was building this ship, I didn't think about Space Battleship Yamato at all. May be in back of my mind. Original plan was to make hull inspired by sea ships, but not so direct. However, the more I refined shape, the more it looked like sea ship. I don't dislike the end result, but now I would like to tweak proportions a bit. There are no plans for instructions. Some modifications must be done to build it IRL. Moreover, I don't care about colours availability. But you can see construction in editor on Mecabricks.
  2. Type-84.7 tanker is very common in frontier systems due to high automation. There is no need in large crew, all docking and loading/unloading operations are made by ship's AI. ORS Hindaun by Sunder_59, on Flickr

  5. Thanks. No, there is no actual prototype/ I also kinda hate it, but it is what it is. A was always obsessed with closing all the gaps everywhere no matter the cost. But some day I realised I just have to accept gaps to be more efficient. Also I've made some animation as an experiment.

  10. Well, this year's SHIPtember was quite hard for me due to lack of time and ideas. Almost 3/4 of work was done last week or something like that. So I couldn't make everything I want and ship is a bit crude and unpolished. One of standart type drone carriers, designed to assist in construction of orbital port hubs. Ship isn't supposed to have much materials onboard, so she depends on cargo haulers during construction. DCV-08 "Barra" construction drone carrier by Sunder_59, on Flickr

  12. Thanks. That's render, you know :) "Space" lightning is simplest: just one hard light source.
  13. Thanks. No, there is no certain prototype.

  20. Thanks everyone. I tried bigger ones, it looked too bulky because of bigger pylons. May be. I just scrolled throught random photos of different battleship and picked random ideas. About a week. It's not very solid. I don't build whole internal structure to minimize parts count. However there is a lot of space inside to build a rigid spine. So sides can be fixed.

  22. EFCS Van Allen originally was build as colonial ship, late modification of Patriarch class. She was almost ready when huge colonization programm had been canceled due to deep political crysis. For several decades this ship was drifting in orbit without any purpose. Van Allen was partially disassembled, most valuable modules as reactor or hypercore were removed. Finaly, her empty shell was sold out as scrap. However new owner from one of peripheral colonies decided to rebuild Van Allen as construction ship. Due to lack of finances old equipment was used. Artificial gravity ring was replaced by radiation sheild to protect crew from old unsafe reactor and engine. Most secondary systems also were outdated or missed. Despite this Van Allen is still valuable costruction ship capable of assembling key sctructural parts of space stations or supermassive ships. About one third of outer rim's trade hubs were build with help of this ship. EFCS Van Allen by Sunder_59, on Flickr
