  1. Thanks guys - think Im going to have a lot of fun! Got the day to myself, lets see how long this unimog takes!
  2. Hi I'm Andy. I'm 30, based in London and a network design engineer by day. I used to be a big fan of Lego and technic in particular. My parents realised that I was quiet and constructive when playing with Lego as a child so were happy to divert all christmas funds towards it.... One of my best childhood memories was the smell of the new lego when I unwrapped 8862 one christmas I hit 16, it was no longer cool and everything went up in the attic and later disappeared. Many years later (Well, the Christmas before last) my missus rather randomly bought me the 8294 excavator. Brought back memories but didnt necessarily turn into an AFOL, just got itchy fingers. Finally gave up resisting last month and bought the 8043 excavator. Officially came back into the fold then. Today I gave in on the urge for more parts and bought the unimog - the 3 for 2 offer at argos was too much to resist when I thought about the wealth of parts (and finally wheels!!!!!) they would bring. Been reading the forum for a month now but hoping to be a bit more involved. Once I have finished building the unimog tomorrow anyway. Still not quite come to terms with the 'new' studless construction. Only recognise a handful of parts. Loving the power functions though!
  3. Hi First post on here... I have been lurking for a while but have joined as I couldn't keep my fingers off my wallet this morning. The Argos offer does apply to the Unimog - just bought three for £289.98 Hopefully this will make a good start to my AFOL life None in Stock in Lewisham (South London) any more I'm afraid 'cos I had them away.
