I’ve used 2 of the above builds in my latest Lego Ideas submission. I would love to hear what you think. I’m waiting for the valentine gwp to order some parts to build it for real. I’m gonna try building the snowman first. I’m also doubting to add some Christmas lights on the building, just above the stone front. I unfortunately couldn’t get the pictures right with studio so I submitted it without the lights. Any tips are welcome. How do you create a subtle light effect with studio?

Thanks! But I can’t take the credit for the idea. I believe I saw it once in a video of someone’s winter village and I never forgot it. I did have to puzzle a bit to make the tree look good. It keeps falling out of the net, so in the end I placed a minifigure at one end.

I can imaging that! The botanical garden and the natural history museum are beautiful sets, and it would be nice to build them. But I don’t have the room to display such sets and then it’s quite a lot of money for building and putting it back in the box. I do have the orchid in the living room.

Thanks! I like to design smaller sets. Although I love to see the bigger designs on Lego ideas I don’t think I will ever buy those €200-300 sets. For me building with Lego is about smart use of the parts. That’s also why I love building the 3 in 1 sets with my son. The sled with the rabbit was fun to design. I wanted to design 3 builds on 2 of those half rounded plates and in the end I changed the design to include some trees because it was a bit too white. The set isn’t doing so well on Lego ideas though… only 3 supporters yesterday :( But I am really happy with how the snowman turned out so my next parts order will include the parts for him. Happy to add a nice ⛄️ to my winter village next year.

Hi, I’m new to the forum but I would love to share some images of my small winter village collection. I’ve bought the Elf clubhouse and the alpine lodge, but I’m waiting for my kids to get older to open them. we did build the sleigh this year and we’ve build some Mocs and designs from rebrickable.
