...I DO hope you all realize LEGO has never said they won't make minifigures of these characters available in sets... Remember Superman last year, or even Batman for that matter?

...If you REALLY feel the need for the figures, get them off eBay or BrickLink... Completest collectors are what eBay was made for, after all. Personally, I've always appreciated the fact that LEGO makes exclusives for various events. (Team GB minifigures, anyone?) Even if I, personally, am not able to get them, it's a wonderful experience for those who can. Why take it away from them?

Venom and Phoenix? I'm kicking myself repeatedly in the face for not going this year, even though it couldn't be helped.

I love the minifigures (Bombur is looking a bit odd, though...), but I'm annoyed that Bilbo's face isn't ideal for a Sherlock-era Doctor Watson. Eh, I think I've got my priorities messed up a bit...

Is CUUSOO to easily taken over by rabid fandoms? Well, I have an opinion, so I guess I'll share it. In a word, yes. It only takes a single post on a messageboard, or a single tweet by a celebrity to bring in thousands of votes. However... Is it a bad thing? Well... No. Some people may be annoyed by all the licensed projects clogging up the successful list, but that's really about all the harm they do. Well over half of the projects will probably never be made into sets anyway, and if they do, you don't have to buy them if you don't like the source material. I've never really understood all this fuss. People voting on licenses won't draw others away from non-licensed projects anymore than CUUSOO's poor layout does anyway. If they're not gonna vote on non-licenses, they're not gonna vote on non-licenses. You know... Maybe the ten thousand people who voted for the project? Just a guess.

I like the set alright, but I'm not a huge fan of B-Wings... They upset my aesthetic sense. So, eh.

Finally, a project case I can get behind!

I wish TLG had went to the trouble of removing the shoe prints on this Andrea, as they look extremely odd combined with the flippers. Still, great-looking set, and nice review! I'll have to try and pick this up somewhere...

Nice review! The photography is actually pretty good for a first attempt. The images are clear, despite the yellow tinge.

I'm not an expert or anything, but I think when it says "Entries should be new and not have been posted anywhere previously." that would include the individual minifigures in the creation as well. Just my uneducated opinion, though.

Because nobody can be nice, friendly, and non-competitive anymore. (okay, I admit is is a competition. ) Anyway, I think I may actually enter this one (mainly because, at last, I actually have a halfway-decent idea...)

I dunno. I haven't seen any moonbase MOCs recently, and I don't really intend to build anything of the sort in the near future... Still, they are nice, and at least the standard should continue...
