  1. Thanks for the tip DLuders. The file is at http://www.megaupload.com/?d=QV1G2QZX I'm sure I probably just screwed something up in the file. I've had no problems with the smaller ones, but they're much simpler than this one.
  2. Hi! Thanks for the response. I am currently running MLCad 3.30, LPub 4.0.0.11, LDView 4.1, and LDGLite 1.2.5. I would love to upload my file and have people look at it, but I get an error that says "You aren't permitted to upload this kind of file" when I try to upload it. And besides, my file is 935 KB in size, and the max you can upload on this site is 100 KB. Maybe there's another way to get you the file?
  3. Hi, I've been playing around with the LDraw suite of programs for a few months, and I seem to have the basics mostly figured out. I have made up several models in LDraw, and am able to view them quite nicely in LDView and LDGlite. Some of these models are quite simple and small (9-21 KB), while one is very large (935 KB) and fairly complex (uses LSynth a lot). The issue I am running into is printing the instructions to PDF. I am having two problems with this. The first one is this: LPub crashes and won't complete printing the instructions regardless of whether I use LDView or LDGlite as my renderer (error message reads as such: "LDView (or LDGlite) has encountered a problem and needs to close"). This usually happens initially after about the first 10 steps. What I found was that if I kept trying to print again and again, each time it would get a little further (it would print up to 30 new steps each time). Of course, this is frustrating and very time consuming, especially on the bigger, 358 step model. After a very long time, I finally got it to run through all the steps without crashing. This leads to my second problem: most of the pages on the PDF file were blank. The parts needed for that step were properly displayed, as well as step and page numbers, but the picture of the step itself was not there. I only encountered this problem with the large file, which led me to believe that maybe it was just too big for the program to handle. However, when I took a small (7 KB) portion of this same file and tried printing that to PDF (I created a new file with this portion), it also frequently crashed and gave me blank pages. I made sure that this smaller portion did not use LSynth, just basic pieces. This makes me think I may have a problem with my file and that it is not a size related problem at all. I unfortunately cannot attach any files to show what I mean as the uploader won't let me attach .ldr files and the .pdf files are too big. Hopefully someone can make sense of my problem, as I'm out of ideas to try Thanks
