I'm fairly sure that that's been put on the backburner if not cancelled altogether. There were rumors of an all-female spinoff as well as a separate soft reboot (even though 5 was already kind of a soft reboot). Now the latest rumors report that they are focusing on just the latter and scrapping the spinoff altogether for now. I think Bruckheimer said there's a script with Johnny and a version without, and they're just hoping they can work things out and get him on board for Pirates 6 or whatever it may be called

I have the same thoughts, the bird being a different color is just really distracting. I didn't realize the figurehead for the Pearl was made of copper until now. It's a cool detail, but the 2011 figurehead looks less obtrusive and more visually accurate in black, even if it's technically inaccurate. Hopefully they can find a pared down shade to represent it the way it appears in the films, since the filmmakers went through the trouble of designing a figurehead that would look oxidized without clashing with the Pearl's color palette.

I've been holding off, but this build looks so good that it makes me curious to check out the show

I'm reading Thus Spoke Zarathustra by Nietzsche right now, just finished Part 1 (out of 4). Very interesting, in my honest opinion, the prose and rhetoric swing from being so profound at one moment to being so self-important at every other chapter. It's pretty thought-provoking, though. I had just finished Zorba the Greek before this, and it inspired me to read Nietzsche because of how many of his themes were woven through it. The book version of Zorba has such a different tone from the movie with Anthony Quinn, but both are classics and worth checking out. A good reminder to not overthink and to live in the moment

Is this the first LEGO Book Nook? This is such a cool set, there are so many scenes and settings from Lord of the Rings and so many other properties that could be done next.

Greetings! I am a new user learning how to use this website. Lego Pirates, and particularly Lego Pirates of the Caribbean are my favorite themes (those were my favorite movies growing up). I am a big history and cinema person, so that explains that. I usually spend my free time producing and editing videos, learning how to make exotic cocktails, practicing the accordion, and reading the classics. I have my own video production company and keep myself fairly occupied, so I figured this forum would be a nice way to keep up with my passion for LEGO, even if I haven't been building as much :) The name Trader Brick is derived from Trader Vic's. It's one of the two original tiki bar chains in America, alongside the Don the 'Beachcomber' bars. It's the home of the Mai-Tai and many other classics, and the inspiration for the grocery store Trader Joe's branding. Attached is a picture of a special pufferfish mug I got from their HQ, an awesome souvenir. My family is from Montenegro, where I have spent many summers of my life, and I live in America. I hope you are all having a lovely start to your weekend, and to my fellow Americans, a very happy Independence Day!

That's not just a fleet, that's a whole armada!

Ahoy! New here, this exciting news brought me. Do you believe the rumor from the latest leak that there will be two more sets? I wonder what they could be, I have been waiting for the Interceptor or Flying Dutchman since 2011. If it's going to be a wave of Icons sets, my mind immediately goes to the mill on Isla Cruces and Port Royal, they're just the most iconic buildable locations that come to my mind. Isla Cruces already had a great set, but Port Royal only got an obscure combiner model, and it'd fit the scale of an Icons build. Just some speculation!
