I think you are making a good point. the short flat side of the Hospital Wing with its triangular side of the roof would continue on the Gryfindor overhang. And at that position both underground sections would be accessible. Though I do wonder how they would connect the “terrace” part of the Hospital Wing. It opens up towards the front, where the stone bridge will most likely eventually connect to the side of the Viaduct Entrance.
