Well I for one am probably going to miss out on Bag End. Not because I don't have 270€, but because I find the design severely lacking for the price they're asking. I guess I'm just not a collector with a must-have-it-all mentality. I happily bought Rivendell, a masterpiece, but skipped Barad-Dur without regret. Not because I couldn't afford it, but because I didn't find the design good enough for it to completely dominate my living space on a daily basis. This upcoming set in my personal view is designed worse than Barad-Dur. Which is why I find the much higher PPP a bit ridiculous.

My only hope is that the rumoured price is wrong, otherwise this set is an epic disappointment. What we're offered here is - unnecessary minifigs and disjointed filler sidebuilds aside - essentially a 100€ main build. Add the Gandalf's cart and essential minifigs and this should be priced at 150€ tops, if we're being very generous. 270 is just an absurd price. For some people here the FOMO is apparently so strong that they're willing to buy it no matter the price, just because it's LEGO LOTR. For me, not feeling being ripped off is more important, even though I'm a big fan of the source material
