I love these new figs, but the first thing I thought of when I saw Bombur's "belly" was that he was wearing an oxygen tank backwards.
-
I think he was referring to the dwarves in the book, which do wear hoods, although they don't in the film.

The hole is filled.

Yeah, the figure count seems a bit high. Even with just two of each race (along with Isildur, Sauron and Elrond) is 9 figs for a less important scene. Battle packs would be great, but same ad everyone else, I'm hoping for Narsil and Sauron.

That's me! I just leave the thread open on my smartphone do it reloads whenever I go to my browser!

We know that Elrond is in The Hobbit... could he possibly be incorporated into the Battle of Five Armies or something? If not, this may be a sign of LOTR sets mingled with the Hobbit wave!

I don't see why they would go to the trouble of printing all the designs if they weren't going to use it... It looks awesome!!
-
Thanks! I'll definitely do that. (I hope everyone isn't too disappointed by my MOC- it's not that great! )

Could someone perhaps tell me how to deeplink? I've heard of it but never understood it.

This is one of my first MOCs, and my first on EB! So, my pictures are... awful, to say the least. As I said before, this is my first real MOC/Vignette, and my camera stinks... oh well. What it is is basically Aragorn and a Rohan soldier who have been backed up to a small hill by a party of Uruk-Hai. The soldier of Rohan attempting to bring down an Uruk with a bow. Aragorn! I modded the original fig in a few ways. I gave him some darker pants (Scrum's from POTC to be precise), a black glove on his right hand, a cape, and a backpack. I have literally no experience building trees, so I just went with the simple technique that TLG used in set 7188. Looks like this guy is having a bad day. Aragorn fighting off an Uruk-Hai. The build without figures. Hill. The villians- please pardon the hair! The heroes. EDIT: Should be working now. As I said- not that great, hope I haven't disappointed anyone! Thanks for viewing! Please comment!

Oh, wow. Those people... That was probably the most annoying forum I have EVER read! Not to mention the most ridiculous. Back on topic: I think all your images are great and well-designed, but if this became a reality I probably wouldn't buy Gates of Moria. It doesn't have enough useful pieces or unique figs. I would most certainly get the rest, though!

It's pretty good! A very seamless design, but the eyes seem a bit too... I don't know, beady.

I just finished watching the Fellowship again, and I was thinking that the Legolas figure doesn't look much like him. It's not the face or torso-- both look great. I think it's all in the hair. The hair doesn't really have the feel... It really needs the parts hanging over his shoulders, and more than anything, a quiver! It just doesn't look right without the quiver. (While I'm on this Legolas roll, I noticed that TLG not including a cape in Moria was not due to the hair but for film accuracy reasons. He doesn't wear a cape till after Lorien.)

Does anybody know anything as to whether the line is selling well globally? I haven't heard anything in quite a while and I really hope it doesn't turn out to be a flop like some of the other recent licensed themes.
-
All the sets are at my local Georgia Target save for Gandalf Arrives and helms deep (including Org Forge).
-
I think it looks great!
-
The standard Uruk leather armor torso would work quite well in my opinion.
-
I believe he was referring to a possible set that he hoped for in the future.
-
Helm's deep and Shelob both have animations on the website! I have to say, Gollum's animation is pretty cool. Very film-like.
-
There's evidence pointing towards a few LOTR sets being mixed in there.
-
Thanks for that! I wondered how Legolas's bow would work.
-
 Wow! Those look amazing! Am I seeing right in that Legolas is wearing a quiver? (Look at his neck in link 2) EDIT: whoops, I was beat to it. On a separate topic, has anyone thought that Sam's hair is inaccurate? I personally think the CM Soccer Player hair works better.

To quote the video's YouTube description: "Between the first and the second wave of sets LEGO The Lord of the Rings: The Video Game will be released in October 2012. The second wave, to be released at some point in autumn, will include sets from the upcoming movie The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey, due for release in the Winter." This sounds very much as though the second wave will include LOTR sets and not just Hobbit sets. Thoughts?

That game looks... Incredible. I want it! So badly! I just wonder where the starting point will be ( Port Royal in POTC and Mos Eisley in SW). Probably the Shire.

The link isn't working. Is it working for you guys? It may just be my connection...
