  1. 8265 Front Loader. Think my wife knows me well.
  2. Found the sneaky buggers. Have been able to activate Extended mode For some reason it did not start, or what I thought was extended mode wasn't when I first started LDD after changing the .ini file. Time to play Jamie
  3. Hi all, I am very new to Lego Dgital Design, but been building Lego for 30+ years. I thought it was about time to give one of my own ideas a go but I could not find the sort of parts I normaly muck around with. I am not one to strip down and muck up the sets I have. I would like to design the model and then buy what I need. The sort of parts I am after are Technic Lift arms and Technic gears. Any assitance would be great. Jamie
  4. I would have to say the 8860 Auto Chassis. I was only about 7 years old when I got it and was amazed by the complexity. The set had me captured from the moment I opened the box. I would have to say it may not have been the most complex I have built to date, but definitly the most memorable. As for complex, I would have to put either 8043 Excavator or 8110 Uni Mog on the list. Jamie
  5. If you need older parts you could not go past 8880 (Black Super car). Even if you don't use the parts, the build is great. Welcome to Euro Bricks, I recently got back into Lego again and have not looked back. Also seems to have rubbed off on my daughter; she is Lego mad as well and insists on helping dad. Jamie
  6. Most of the time sit in front of the TV once 3 year old has gone to bed. When three year old insists on "helping" she is given a container to "help" sort parts. 9 out of ten time all the colourful transperant bricks and plates end up in the container. At least I know where to look when I need one of those.
  7. Thanks for that, much appreciated. Jamie
  8. Thanks for that. So Bricklink just appends 'old' onto the existing part number to identify the older varients; handy to know. Jamie
  9. G'day, Just wondering if the 10245 Error I get when I try and access "My Profile" is occuring due to myself being a new memeber or if it is an ongoing problem? I have had this error occuring ever since I became a member of Eurobricks and I have not been able to find any info in the tutorials saying I should not be able to access it. In contridiction the turorials state I can change some of the settings in my profile. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Jamie
  10. G'day all, I bought an unsorted lot of Lego from a work mate the other day and I know there are some older bricks and plates mixed in with current generation parts. I primarily collect Technic so I have no need for the parts in question. I have attached an image of two plates that have me stumped. I initially thought they were not Lego; however they do have Lego written in the studs on the front. I cannot find a part number stamped in the back. The square holes on the back is something I had not seen before. Regarding the colour of the plates; would the colour of the plates been white originaly and yellowed badly over time? Has anyone posted images of the front and back of bricks and plates to help identify older components? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Jamie
  11. I have already suggested that one of the other walls in the office should be utilised for the Lego collection and that we could get away with a smaller desk for the computer My 3.5 year old loves the Lego as well and for her age has a reasonable collection as well (mainly City theme), the love of Lego has absolutly nothing to do with Dad .
  12. Thanks. At present I have not done any MOC's. Maybe some day. I take my hat off to the designers of some of the creations I have seen. Very impressive.
  13. Just wanting to say G'day to everyone. Been visiting this site for a while now and decided I should register. I only recently got back to the Technic Lego after a very, very long leave of absence. Loved it as a child and as a 30 something :-) still find it engaging. When I was a child and I got my hands on the 8060 Auto chassis, I was hooked and have been ever since. It was probably Blackbirds Technopedia web site that got me back in. Now as an adult I can actually afford those sets that I used to drool at in the shops. Thanks Blackbird, great site. Like many I am glad Technic has now started making sets that appeal more for the AFOL rather than producing sets that are not overly complicated and more about the styling. Have attached a pic of my collection (yes one is not Technic, it is Basic Universal set 744), most recent aquisitions 8110, 8070 and 8043. I have a very understanding wife :-) Have requested 8265 as a Chirstmas presi from Dearest. For those that might be interested the shelving system is the IVAR 83x50cm IKEA. Any way catch you later Jamie
